Just back from a short Disney weekend and our first stay at the All Star Movies. Had a great time and enjoyed this resort very much.
Checked in Friday around 1 PM with a great cast member. We had asked for a 3rd floor room that was quiet. She gave us room 4928 on the 3rd floor of Dalmatians Building #4. We could see AS Music from outside our room. The Mighty Ducks pool was just around the corner and it was a short walk to the main pool and main building.
Our room was clean and neat. Sure there were some scuff marks on the wall, but we were very pleased with the room. The beds were very comfortable. We had 2 blow-up beds and we simply moved the little table and had plenty of room for all. The room is smaller than the moderates, but adequate as long as one is organized!
The food court was fine. I was shocked
at the prices - $5.50 for breakfast platters (they were yummy!) and almost $7 for most lunch/dinner entrees. We might be getting great room rates, but we ARE paying for it with increased food prices!! All of the food court cast members were great. Mugs are $10.99.
The kids enjoyed the arcade and the Mighty Ducks pool. They said that the Mighty Ducks pool was not heated, but they didn't mind once they got used to it. The store was good as well.
Bus transportation was really good. We last stayed at the All Stars 3 years ago and as DH said, they have made tremendous improvements in this area.
We visited all 4 parks. With the exception of MK today, the other parks were not crowded. At MK today some rides were very crowded and unfortunately Space Mountain broke when we were in the area. We also visited Downtown Disney.
We ate dinner Saturday at the Yachtsman Steakhouse which was really good as usual! This morning we had breakfast with my mom at the Grand Floridian Cafe. The food was wonderful (although expensive)! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Well, we don't have another Disney trip planned
, but as DH said today, he's sure we'll go back for at least a weekend this summer!
