AS Movies - Preferred

We are booked in a preferred room at AS Movies for Labor Day weekend. It is myself, my 19 yo daughter and 15 yo son. We are going to visit my oldest son who is doing the Disney CP and this is the room he was able to get us with his CM discount. We have DVC so haven't stayed in any non-DVC resorts for several years. I got an email about the refurbishment going on at AS Movies so I was just doing a search of the boards looking for information. What are the sleeping arrangements in the refurbished rooms? What is the best request to make to hopefully get a refurbished room? Are all preferred rooms being refurbished and how likely they will be done by Labor Day weekend? Thanks for your help!

It is my understanding that the Values are moving from 2 Doubles to 2 Queens....one of which converts, like a Murphy Bed, from a table/ chairs to a bed. I'm sure there are King bed rooms as well, but that wouldn't help you. When I was last at AS Movies (March, 2018), they had begun the refurbs in the Toy Story Section. I don't know how far they have gotten...or their timeline. You can request a refurbished room by calling and making that request. Just remember...it's just a request and may or may not be fulfilled depending on availability. Have a great trip, no matter what!!
