A horse - from the time I could point one out!!!!

Now at age 48, I finally got my wish and own three beautiful geldings!

No more Christmas wishes for me - I am content!

How about you?

Rae

That we wouldn't move so much. Being a military brat we moved every two to three years. As an adult, I've lived here (not in the same house) for 10 years this month. Lived in the house almost five years.

I always had one wish, to always have Christmas with my parents.

I am blessed, I had them for 47 Christmases and my son had them for 10.

I also always wanted to be a Mommy. God gave that to me very late in life but just in time.

I always wanted a baby brother or sister. Santa never delivered on that one.

I always wanted every toy in the Sears Wish Book. I used to circle almost everything, it seems. Even though my mom would do her best (on a very limited income) to get me a lot of gifts, I was always disappointed that I didn't get more. :o

I really want it to be different for my children, so we are trying to establish a tradition of simplicity and focus on the birth of Christ. We're giving three gifts each, one of which is homemade. Of course, it's easy to get away with this when one is 3 and the other is 10 months, but we're hoping to continue as they get older, incorporating volunteer work as well.

I remember wanting a little brother. I thought babies came at Christmastime since I did.:p

I always wanted either a cat or baby sister and needless to say I didn't get either. I finally got my cat 5 yrs ago when I got her myself and never got a sister but I did have one FANTASTIC bouncing baby boy 21 yrs ago. :D

From the time I was about 3 - all I wanted was a horse! Every Christmas & birthday I'd ask for one. Finally got one when I was 12 - but my folks bought him after my birthday. So he didn't really qualify for a birthday or Christmas present! We owned him for 23 years and he was a great part of the family. He died 2 years ago right before Halloween and I swear he waited till I was going to be out of town to go.

I wanted my Dad to get better. But we at least had that last Christmas together and my parents made it very special (as did the whole family).

A canopy bed. Never happened.

I never got everything, so don't think that was it....but I can't remember anything specific.

So many beautiful wishes about family - I guess that just proves a point - we may look at things, but we wish for love -

May you all have a beautiful and blessed holiday season with those whom you love and who love you in return,

Rae

I remember doing that too!

Plus I really wanted a Dog or a cat. Never did have either as a child, I got my first cat in college and she ended up living at my parents for her last 10 years, I brought her there after I moved into a no-pet apartment, and she was really my Dad's cat by the time I moved again.

I remember all I won't for Christmas was a computer and Voltron robot lions toys. I got everything i won't. It amazing I started working with computers since I was five years old.

That started my love for electronics. Then again I always have been a different child. I never was the one to ask for the hot toy out.
