Can someone tell me about their excperience at Artist Point? We have never eaten there and want to know if it is worth the $$. Thanks.

My DH and I ate there 3 years ago and plan to eat there again this December.

We shared our meal and it was plenty. We had the cedar plank salmon (and I usually do not like salmon) and it was great.

The meal started with a mushroom soup, the salmon came with some mash roots and I believe we had a salad. For dessert we had the berry cobbler. It was different some any cobbler I have had in WV (mostly southern type with ice cream) but it was delicious too.

If you are not staying at the WL, make time to tour this lodge. I heard it is beautiful at Christmas.

This is one of the "finer" restaurants we try to eat at when we can because it is one of our favorites.

It is a relaxing, quiet atmosphere..yet kid friendly. Everything I've ever had here has been excellent but I must admit I do order their specialty dish, "the Cedar Plank Salmon" quite frequently because it is excellent. In recent times I've also enjoyed the mushroom soup, delicious...ok I'm getting hungry thinking about it. (kinda funny that fauberfive had the same thing!)

DD loved her Mickey Pasta (which was a new discovery of hers this past trip). In the past when dh was with us he ordered the buffalo and the beef tenderloin of which he enjoyed both of these. At one time they had a butternut squash soup which was delicious. Dd had also eaten their grilled chicken and chicken fingers. Her first trip here was when she was 3 and she enjoyed it then.

Our last visit was just a little over a month ago when 6 yr old dd and I planned to go to MK and watch the parade after dinner (dh was at a conference). I was afraid we wouldn't make it to the parade on time because it is a "slower" type dinner, but we were able to dine in an hour.

If you've never been I highly recommend it. It is a little pricey (we kinda knock off a bit of our total with the DDE card)...but it is still worth it.

Yes, I love it. I haven't been there since 2001, but I have a reservation to eat there next week on my trip. I will be posting a review.

I believe when I was there I had some vegetarian sampler platter (I don't know why because I'm not a vegetarian) and it was really good. Some of our party had the salmon.

I think it's worth it.

We've only been once, but really enjoyed it. We both started with the mushroom soup, which was the best soup I've ever eaten. Then we had salad. It was okay, the dressing was kind of strong for mine (the buttermilk chive dressing). DH had the salmon and I had the buffalo. Both were awesome. We then had the cobbler for dessert. It wasn't the kind of cobbler I'm used to, but it was good. It was more like cake with berries on and in it. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service very much. It is on the return list this next trip because we want to take our friends there.

DH and I had our anniversary dinner at Artist Point this past January and we really enjoyed it. We each had the mushroom soup which was wonderful, very smooth and creamy. I had the salmon, loved it. I'm picky about my fish and this was cooked perfectly. Hubby had the pork chops and thought they were good but felt the portion size was a little skimpy. We shared the berry cobbler which was fantastic. I don't care for overly rich or sweet desserts and this one was great. I also had the 3 course wine flight. The red and white offerings were excellent. Didn't care much for the dessert wine. It was an ice wine and very sweet. We had a late PS and the dining room was quiet and felt suprisingly intimate. We will definately do Artist Point again!

It's one of our favorites. DS loves the Cedar Planked Salmon, I go for the Buffalo & DH has experimented with several different options. We have never had a bad experience here & have eaten there about a dozen times since it opened.

Artist Point is one of the few restaurants on disney property that is definately worth the money. The food and service are wonderful.

We have been going to AP since they opened, many times a year. It is a place we take family and friends when they visit us in FL. Everyone we take there always loves it as well, for some it has become their favorite restaurant and they ask to go there again and again.
