Artist Point

I plan to eat at Artist Point. The Unofficial Guide makes it sound like the view from the restaurant is peaceful and beautiful---like a piece of Yellowstone transported to Orlando. Is the view really special?

By the time it gets dark you really can't see to much. And when it is warm..the windows are all fogged up. Take the time for a nice romantic stroll after dinner.

The view is o.k., the food is excellent. This has become a must-do
for us on every trip.

Thanks for the swift replies. I am planning on an early dinner so that there will still be sunlight and I can see the surrounding area. I hope that the windows are not fogged while I am there!

We had to eat there five times in Sept because we were quarentined to WL during the hurricaine. And thank Godness, because we were not set to eat there at all. It is excellent. Did not notice the view, but the food is good. And that says a lot for Disney.

Webray is right. . .take a stroll after dinner even if you've managed to get a PS during daylight hours. The view from the tables closest to the windows is quite good as you can see the lake, trees, and parts of the lodge (which is quite beautiful itself). Those tables further away only allow you to see the same views over other patrons, but is still nice. However, the real reason to go to AP is the food and ambience. It is home to some of the best food Disney has to offer and it is also one of the quietest, most romantic restaurants on property. The fact that it is located at the gorgeous VWL is gravy on the biscuits, icing on the cake, meringue on the pie. I hesitate to say too many good things about it since it's still a bit of a hidden gem among all the other restaurants. It's a bit pricey, but worth the extra $$ for a special event occasion. We never miss it when we go.
