Have all my other reservations made and can't decide where to eat on our first night Artist Point or Narcoossee's. Both have mixed reviews. Any suggestions?

I cant speak on Artist Point becasue I have not eaten in their yet but if you are able to get Narcoossee's around wish firwork time you will love the viwe and thy pip in the music and the food is yummy lol.

I liked AP much better than Narcoossee's. Narcoossee's is not worthy of it's signature status IMO. The service was poor, waits were long, food was OK but not great. It's really loud and the atmosphere is extremely casual for a signature.

I agree with almost all of this. I didn't experience poor service when I was there, and I thought the food was pretty good, but the noise level, too-casual atmosphere and long waits are exactly the impressions that I was left with as well. Narcoossee's is still a good restaurant, but it's the weakest of the Disney signatures, in my opinion.

Narcoosees is my least favorite signature (last few meals have been underwhelming). Artist Point is not a favorite either but I like it better than Narcoosees.,

Artist Point is my favorite signature. It always has some amazing dishes, and I like the Pacific Northwest inspiration. Plus, the dining room is very tranquil and serene.

Narcoossee's is by far my least favorite signature. In fact, it's one of my least favorite restaurants period. AP, on the other hand is one of my favorites. The only two signatures I like better are Flying Fish and Citricos, and that's purely for food. For atmosphere, AP is my hands down favorite. And I've never ever had a less than excellet meal at AP. I truly don't understand the mixed reviews it gets.

I agree with most on Narcoossee's, it doesn't quite deserve the 'Signature' title and its my least favorite signature. I wasn't impressed at all, I felt like I wasted my two dining credits for seafood I could have gotten back at home. Hope that helps!

AP is a lovely restaurant with good food and service. I much prefer it over Narcoossee's.

They are both great restaurants, so -for me - the question would be, "do I want a relaxing and peaceful dining experience" or "do I want fresh air, water and - possibly - fireworks".

I happen to think that Narcooses is one of the best resturants at Disney, where else can you get steak and lobster and have a fantastic view of the castle. The service I have experienced there has ALWAYS been the best of any resturant I have been to at Disney. I just love walking along the beach too back to the Poly by the wedding pavillian too. In my experience I haven't seen too many folks walking into any signature resturant in a tux so I really don't think that the casual atmosphere is any different than anywhere else except for maybe the chefs table meal at the other GF resturant, so I think that is overstated in this thread. AP is also nice but hard to get to as you need to take a bus or boat to get there and is a little out of the way. I would go for Narcooses for my money...;)

We ate at many of the Signature restaurants during our Nov '10 anniversary trip. We loved Narcoossee's...it's loud, but not moreso than the California Grill. Artist Point was wonderful too...more relaxed, romantic atmosphere. Here's how we ranked the restaurants:

1. California Grill
2. Flying Fish
3. Narcoossee's
4. Artist Point
5. Jiko
6. Brown Derby
7. Yachtsman Steakhouse

My vote is for AP. DH and I ate there for our 2nd anniversary dinner and LOVED it.

Have not been to Narcoossee's but loved Artist's Point. Great meal, great server, beaufitul setting. The music they were playing around Christmas was sublime (and sadly not for sale).

Another vote for AP! Their signature salmon dish is to die for!!!
