that is the question...

we'll likely be either two adults (dh & i) w/the little kids at kids' club, or we'll be a party of six (dh, i, 2 teen nieces, 11yo dd and 9yo ds)

which would you choose, Artist Point or Yachtsman and WHY?!

thanks in advance :thumbsup2

I think a lot of the decision making would go into "where will you be staying?"

I voted for Artist Point. It is one of my favorites. Great steak. Great location. Love the Wilderness Lodge. And last, and CERTAINLY not least.....the Berry Cobbler!!! :woohoo:

However, if I were staying at the Yacht/Beach Club, I would probably go with Yachtsman Steakhouse. Mainly for location.

But both are great places.

we're staying at the all-stars this trip... so location is not "an issue"

the dinner in question will likely be on our AK day, after AK, take a rest at the resort, then head to a resort for dinner... finishing with either going to play mini-golf or watch wishes or illuminations (depending on where we are) or even walking along the boardwalk to watch the street actors and play some carnival games (my kids LOVE it there!)

also, we're big fans of taxis in wdw for resort to resort transport...

okay, this is not working... it's TIED!!! :lmao:

for those voting, do tell why you chose the one you chose... please and thank you!

I chose Artist Point simply because you can find a pretty good steak house on LI. Plus I think the atmosphere is far nicer.

Having said that, I'd pick the Flying Fish or the Cali Grill over either of them.

Regardless, I don't think you can go wrong...

Artist point - it just seemed more special. Yatchsman was pretty good but I felt we paid too much for what we go. Artist point is expensive too, but I just thought the meal, service and ambiance was worth it.

ooh, i had not considered FF, but "ruled out" cali grill 'cause if ds goes into the contemporary he'll bug me like mad crazy for two things... the ARCADE and Chef Mickeys! so i'm avoiding the fight ;)

::going to check out flying fish's menu now!::

Surprizes me the way the vote is going.

I, too, would go with FF over either choice. But between AP and YS, I'd go with AP simply because you have more variety and if you want a steak, AP has a good one.

i'm a steak girl... dh might order fish, but it's rarely his first choice... i checked out FF's menu and i don't think it's for us...

oh, and we stayed at AKL last year, and this is the "try new things/go new places" trip, so jiko is out of the equation! LOL?

now, just to muddy the waters, i checked out spoodles menu and i like it... may have to add that into the mix!

Wow, tough choice. I'd say go to both if you can. If you absolutely must select only one, I voted for the Yachtsman only because of the make-up of your party. And that means I made a (probably incorrect) assumption that of the six of you somebody won't be thrilled with the menu items at AP. Please go to allearsnet.com and check out the menus of both places before you decide.

Shula's-but it's very expensive and not really a "kids" atmosphere, although yours are old enough. But, the steak and service were suberb.

Hi!
My vote goes to the YSteakhouse. We were there 2 years ago and loved it. We also have to young boys that also loved it. We stayed at the WL last year, and Art. P. did not appeal to us very much. I think the atmosphere at the YS is better for kids out of the two.

Just my opinion...

shula's is not on ddp, is it?

i'm leaning toward WCC and YSH so we get a WL restaurant and a good steakhouse (obviously on separate nights! LOL!)
