We're trying out Artist Point and The Flying Fish on this trip. We're excited to try them. What are your thoughts about these restaurants? We're going no matter what, so please don't try to talk us out of them. I'm just curious as to what others think.

Flying Fish is my favorite of the signatures on Disney's dining plan. I'm a fish eater so the menu appeals. The place is a bit on the noisy side.

Artist Point has some interesting dishes that you can't find elsewhere and the atmosphere here is rustic and usually quiet. The views, if dining before it's dark, are very nice, especially if you snag a window table.

We haven't tried Artist Point yet but my girlfriend and I both really enjoyed Flying Fish on our last trip. I had a the crab cake which was good for an app. and my main entree is no longer on the menu when I last checked last week so I won't get your hopes up. My girlfriend had a Caesar salad and the snapper which she really liked.

Flying Fish was one of our favorite from last year. Without hesitation, we made dinner ADR for our upcoming trip in less than 3 weeks. We want to try Artist Point too, but there's simply too many places but not enough time.

I've been to both restaurant last year. Both are exceptional restaurant. IMO, Artist Point is slightly better restaurant. If you do go to AP, their Smokey Portobello Soup is a must have. It is absolutely stunning and I love their Grilled Buffalo Striploin. To be fair, I think food at both places are equally good. I just prefer Artist Point more.

I love both restaurants. In fact, Flying Fish is my favorite Signature restaurant. I love their tomato/mozzarella salad or mussels for appetizers, their scallops are wonderful and the char crusted steak has always been better than the steaks at Yachtsman. For dessert I like whichever trio they happen to have (chocolate or strawberry) or their cheese plate.

Artist Point has wonderful mushroom soup and mussels for appetizers and I love their buffalo (was not as impressed with their salmon that everyone raves about though). I used to love the berry cobbler, but when we were there in Dec it had drastically changed and wasn't near as good. My husband liked their fig clafouti though. Their berries in muskrat wine, was just plain nasty.

We love Artists' Point, and unlike a previous poster our experiences with the cedar-plank salmon have always been wonderful. Great service, lovely wine selections (if you drink wine, don't hesitate to ask your CM for suggestions, or go with the pairings on the menu), and terrific food. It's also great to stroll around WL before or after your meal.

Enjoy!

I have been to both multiple times and both are on my top five list at WDW. You will enjoy both.

Love both FF and AP! DH insists on eating at FF the first night of every trip, he has to have their crab cake as his first "Disney food". I've only been to AP once, but everyone I was with loved our entrees and desserts (didn't care so much for the appetizers we selected). I'm hungry just thinking about FF and AP! Enjoy!

Both excellent restaurants, IMO. Two of the best at WDW, I would say.

Both are good but I prefer FF. They have a steak that can't be beat and their wine flights are something you can't find at most WDW restaurants.
As Pakey says, Artist Point is rustic--and I'll leave it go at that:)

The food is good of course...

Smoky portobello soup is the only thing at either that really noteworthy.FF had a pumpkin ravioli that was one of my top three entre's in WDW ever.FF has better cheeses.AP is quieter and less crowded even when full.

We have dined at both on several occasions and highly recommend both. The Potato Cruster Snapper at Flying Fish is excellent. The salmon at Artist Point is also delicious and my husband usually selects some sort of wild game which has yet to disappoint. I also enjoy the mushroom soup.

Almost identical to our experience last year. DH was in heaven over the buffalo steak with that amazing sauce, and I thought the salmon was ok. The berry cobbler was good but so disappointing when I had in mind pictures I had seen from a couple of years ago. They do have a lot of very, very good Washington state wines on their list. We will be going back, and both getting the buffalo next time!

Always a good meal at FF, too. Nothing bad on their wine list that I have tried, it's all good. DH and I like to go and get appetizers and side dishes, and then maybe dessert. We sit at the bar usually and the bartenders don't care if you don't have an entree! But the entrees are good too. Still remember the taste of the scallops.

If you need another good place, consider Il Mulino. I had the best meal there last trip.
