Artist Point extra side?

I've been reading some of the dining reviews of Artist Point and many of them state that they were given an extra side dish when on the DDP or DDxP. Anyone know why this is or have any experience with it?

I was actually curious about same thing, but for jiko! Were on dxdp, but idk if being on any ddp makes a difference, or do I pay oop for it in addition to using dining credit??

In general, sides are not included in DDP (any DDP) unless they come with the entree.

I've seen reports that Artist Point would allow a separate side but I haven't seen that about any other restaurant.

Consider it pixie dust.

I was able to get an extra side at AP last year, as well as an extra salad at Jiko (and a small, 2 bite piece of swordfish (yuck) at Citricos). All claimed it was due to being on DxDDP. However, my experiences are not to be taken for granted. I consider AP to be pixie dust, Jiko to a new server, and Citricos to it being a tiny 2 bite piece of fish (yuck).

As a note, I'm going back to Jiko and Citricos this year, and I do not expect the same extras. If I get them, great, but nothing that I'm going to plan on or even hope for. (Besides, they took my tomato and onion salad off of Jiko's menu )

(Note: I don't like fish, and even though I did try the swordfish, I didn't like it at all )

Last week our waitress at AP actually said, "And since you're on the deluxe dining plan, you may order an additional side." I was able to get one last year as well and it was included...and we were on the regular plan.

I mistakingly thought this would be the case at other signatures and our server at Yachtsman's Steakhouse looked at me like I was crazy.

Every time I've ever been to AP, a side is included on the dining plan. Either regular or deluxe. As far as I'm aware, they're the only signature that does this.
