Artist Point/ Cheese Plate ??

We are staying at the VWL in Dec so we decided to try Artist Point. We will do DXDP for part of our stay (DVC) so I wanted to know if I could have the cheese plate as my dessert and another app like the soup? Currently, there are 2 desserts that I would like but for our last 2 visits I have skipped AP because they did not have a dessert I wanted. In July I got a Cheese Plate at CG for dessert no problem, so I wanted to know about AP incase they decide to drop the desserts that sound good again.

Overall, I have found that even though I like desserts normally I am underwhelmed with Disney Signature restaurant desserts and I am much happier with cheese.

Not really for sure about Artist Point, but I believe most Signature restaurants allow you to choose a cheese plate for dessert if you want. I've gotten them at California Grill, Flying Fish, Narcoosee, and Jikos. Each time we were on the DxDDP and I ordered something else for my appetizer, then got the cheese for dessert. None of them had a problem with it. In fact, I've gotten the cheese plate to go as my dessert at California Grill and Flying Fish when I was too full for dessert. They boxed it up and put the box in a bag for me.
