OK - so I'm the picky eater.
DBF allowed me to plan the entire trip - he's easy, I'm picky. He only had two requests - to eat at Artist Point (he loves the Northwest) and to do the Segway tour (both of which he only knew about because I told him.) I'm looking forward to the Segway tour but after looking at the menu on Allears, I'm not thrilled about the menu at Artist Point. Two TS credits and not sure I'll like anything.

I'm a total "meat and potatoes" girl and I don't like the meat or potatoes to be too fancy. Is the menu on Alears complete? If so, has anyone had the Beef Tenderloine? How is it? I was thinking I'd get that or the chicken and add fries or "normal" mashed potatoes off of the kids menu.

I have tried and did not like Buffalo. And am allergic to three kinds of seafood so I don't eat any of it.

I CAN'T BELEIVE I CAN'T GET JUST A NY STRIP!!!!!!Artist Point and the Picky Eater...

WDW has many many wonderful restaurants, and many have unique cuisines. You can definitely get a NY Strip at WDW -- just not at every single restaurant.

Having said that, Artist Point is the best restaurant at WDW. You will not be disappointed. If you have any concern, talk with your server. They are famous for going out of their way to address special requests.

We had the best meal of our WDW vacation here. I am onlynow learning to try all the "fancy" food and really enjoy it. The salads were great but are different. However the Hatfield Porkchop was excellent and I tasted the others buffalo steak and it was great too. The meats were all wonderfull as were the side dishes. You should be okay. :)

I just discoverd AP on my last trip and I was really impressed. I had the Hatfield Porkchop with the Tilamonk cheddar mac and cheese and it was really good. I like to think I'm a fairly picky eater and I polished off the plate. I was nervous about what to order, but the server really talked me through the meny Here is a pic of the chop:

We ate there a few years ago. My husband loved it. I didn't care for it. I don't care much for frou-frou dinners. You know, artistically placed on the plate by hand, sauce drizzled around the plate to look pretty. All the food piled up on top of each other like a stack of pancakes. And I'm not one for wild game. I had a steak or whatever the beef entree was and it still tasted funny to me.

scoutsmom99, your photo is exactly what I am talking about, only not so piled high as I have seen. That really doesn't look appetizing to me at all.

I prefer Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch or dinner.
