Artificial Sweeteners?

We're getting ready for our first trip and we're very excited. Reading some of the other dining posts today made me think about artificial sweeteners. My husband is allergic to aspartame and ingesting even the smallest amount of it will ruin a day (at least). We usually skip all things labelled "sugar free" and things like Hawaiian Punch, but does anyone have any other suggestions of things to avoid!

It was so easy when NutraSweet was new - everyone was so "proud" to have it in their stuff that it was all clearly labelled. Now, not so much, and it's in things that you wouldn't expect - like sugar-y gum!

Thanks!

The obvious answer is to avoid anythign sweet but this is not a lot of fun at Disney. They don't sell gum at Disney so you are safe there. I would ask your server if you order dessert, they are usually really good about allergies.

Otherwise stick to what you know is safe.

My sister is allergic to both aspertame and sucralose so we stay far away from it as well.

FYI most lemonade that is served on property (no matter the flavor) is "light" and has one or the other in it.

I didn't find much else w/ it though.

Thanks! It's always the drinks that do him in - I'll tell him to stay away from the lemonade...
