Article on WDW ............not being kept up

Thats assuming there is a REAL issue Matt and not just the overactive sensitivities of some verbose element...

Bottom line is I don't see any reason why someone can't love WDW and at the same time still see areas that could make the experience even better. I don't agree with the "it's good enough as it is" philosophy.

On a topic as subjective as this remember personal opinios are just that personal. That being said here's mine. Having been visiting WDW since they were building the monorail to EPCOT. About 19 times give or take a couple, with the last 12 coming in the last 14 years including honeymoon 1st steps by DD #1 without support at the AS Resort, DD#2's in the 1st year of her life. Both DW and I say yes the parks have gone down hill. The guide books used to be able to give you park opening and closing times for the year season by season. Fewer parades, fewer fireworks displays, resturants and popcorn stands that are now closed durring the off season <May> that used to be open durring that period, higher prices, loss of MK Club staggard opening and closing of different lands in all the parks, maintance now being done in front of the guests not at night as used to be. Shorter hours. Do I need to continue? Please don't get me wrong. For the 1st time visitor will they miss what we are discussing the answer is "no" because. They never experienced it
Is it magical to them the answer is yes. Does that mean we are wrong No. But for those of us who have spent a good chunk of our spendable cash on something with no actual cash value when we leave , the Dw and I agree Forgo your bonnuses lower the prices and bring back the value That used to pervade the parks that WDW is the ultimate place to go. When you do that you'll fill the rooms, the parks and then deserve the bonnuses that you have already given yourselves.

Depends on what he is going to actually do about it.

If he is addressing the issue, or is planning to, then a statement that largely defends their practices, but acknowledges room for improvement, would have been appropriate. One that says "We do a heckuva job, but we see a chink in the armor here and there and we're going to fix it".

If he is not going to do anything about it, he shouldn't have said anything. Just ignore the article the same way they ignore just about every other news article written.

Couldn't have said it better.

Only one problem here. In Eisner's world greed is good.
