For an Adults only dinner Artists Pt. or Jiko? We are staying at ASMO and I am concerned about a 9pm reservation. We have to put the kids to bed first (oldest daughter babysitting the younger 2). How long of a bus ride to each? We must go through the parks but can you for this late of reservation? Have not seen AKL yet, but thought we should do this in the day. Would like AP for the fire place at WL after dinner. Anything like this at AKL?

Two great places to eat and great resorts to visit.

You cannot go wrong with either.

I love the AKL - they have a firepit outside and a fireplace inside. JIKO will cost you more, but is one of my favorite restaurants.

You will have to catch a bus to DD or a park and theen to AKL and then to DD and then ASMo on the way back.

WL would require the same thing. We are visinting ArtPoint this trip. It is a great restaurant as well.

So, there you are a few minutes of rambling and not much help.

Flip a coin.

:p

We've eaten at both. Had a very good meal at AP and an excellent meal at JIKO. There are lots of romantic places to sit in the AKL lobby, not to mention the rocking chairs around the firepit jiminyfan already told you about. Having eaten at both restaurants, I'd opt to go back to JIKO. But that's JMHO.

Do consider taking a cab from the ASM to AKL and back again. It will run you about $12-$15 one way, including tip. Cabs are plentiful and will be much quicker than a bus. It will take you 45-90 minutes each way to take the bus and transfer at DD (depending on how long you have to wait for transfers). I'm assuming that the parks will be closed or nearly closed by the time you need to travel. A cab will take 5 -10 minutes as the All Star resorts are really quite close to the AKL.

Enjoy your dinner!

Thanks for the advise. I think we will take a cab and have made res's for Jiko!!!

You will have a great time at Jiko. We dined there first night of our honeymoon. We sat by the window where we could see the streams. AKL is also very beautiful to see. It was very romantic.

We dined at Jiko last month and just loved it, it is the best restaurant we have dined at yet. Try the Grilled tenderloin with Macaroni & Cheese, it is out of this world. Also start your dinner with one of there flatbreads.

That's what I had. Still makes my mouth water when I think about it! :D

the beef filet on macaroni and cheese is fabulous. this is not your ordinary M&C. and the salmon is very yummy; almost as good as the one at artist point! http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_jiko.htm as mentioned either place would have been a great choice. the taxi is a good idea. happy eating!
