Does anyone have any experience with booking the family suite at Art of Animation without specifying Nemo, Lion King, or Cars? Is one generally less popular than the others and therefore more likely to be assigned? Going in June. Also, if anyone has stayed in Nemo, is it noisy since it’s so close to the action? Thanks!

If you like at the suite prices, when you select the specific section, Nemo suites are generally pricier. I conclude that they are the most requested and that Disney prices them accordingly.

Nemo will have more noise because the windows of half the rooms are over the pool. The other Nemo suites and the other sections will be quiet.

We stayed in a Cars suite in 2017, it was mostly quiet, however unfortunately there was a barking dog on our floor which we heard very clearly and very often.
We did not choose to have a Cars suite, we let them assign us to whatever they had.

Usually you select one of the three theme types at booking, so you are guaranteed a theme. There is a fourth option for "let disney choose" but I'm honestly not sure why anyone would choose that since its the same cost. Maybe some people just like the suspense.

I specifically requested a Nemo suite because it’s the closest to the food court and main lobby. We were in building 5 room 5825. We were there from December 15-20.
It was fantastic! It was quiet and we had a view of the HS (I think) fireworks. We did walk the resort a bit, but only over to the Cars section. The walk really wasn’t too bad and you can easily see the Lion King section from my building.
Despite the fact that my son was super sick and the MVMCP got rained out, we had a wonderful experience at AoA.

We stayed Cars and Nemo (choose these and paid extra for Nemo) on separate years. We somehow ended up in one of the best Cars buildings and one of the farthest Nemo rooms. I wouldn't say either was loud. Nemo was farther because we had to walk around the main pool to get to the main building and even father to the parking lot (we drive). (Nemo was more convenient to the pool.)

Anyhow, I was disappointed to have paid more to stay Nemo and be farther from most things important to us.
