I was wondering if anyone that had a reservation at Art of Animation has been contacted by Disney to move resorts and which options were offered to switch to.

I would just call them yourself now and get it done and out of the way. My mother-in-law was only offered Pop Century for free. I've heard others were offered Caribbean Beach. It may depend on room type (family suite vs Little Mermaid Room)

It really jist depends on the CM. We were booked in a suite and were originally only offered the Cabins, the 1 room at CBR, and today when I called it was 2 connecting rooms at Pop. - For now, I'm still holding out. If you don't like the first offer just keep calling back. The CM today also said at the end that it was really weird because it would let her book AoA for me (the placr I'm already at, but won't be open.) Lol...

When I called the CM stated that a special team needed to reach out to me because I had already been moved once before. I will try again if the hold times aren’t too crazy.

My MIL was also moved previously from All Stars. We didn't have any issue moving from AoA to Pop on the first call.

But be reasonable with your attempts. Couple/few times a day, not constantly. :D
Lol...I'm not sure who would have the time it takes to complete a call to Disney constantly all day :) I don't have the patience for any more than once every cpl. days...I won't be calling back for a while. In fact I may just wait until they call me 3-4weeks before our trip.

I called the 7866 number and got right through. We were offered Pop or CBR water view. Took CBR but the bus stops are annoying so we may end up calling back or moving dates to find something else.

Also, not sure if you're taking ME, but if so just know/remember they drop you off at the checkin building which can be quite a hike to the rooms...and they no longer deliver luggage. - Something we're thinking twice about as well.

I was contacted yesterday regarding our Little Mermaid room and offered a CBR 5th sleeper room (it’s just my husband and myself, but hey, whatever!). I inquired if there was anything else and told I could opt for Pop and get refunded the difference, or pay for an upgrade to a deluxe. I took CBR and actually received $35 back.

While I had the CM on the phone, I asked if she could take care of another future trip too since AoA will still be closed. I told her it was my birthday trip (true!) and she told me I was receiving some pixie dust and upgraded me to a Contemporary garden wing, garden view room! So excited, never stayed deluxe before!

Ugh, yes, was looking into that and they're really not helping with luggage? And dealing with the lack of elevators? That's not going to work with the way I pack! Haha!

Pretty sure Bell Services/Luggage Assistance is delivering luggage to the rooms. You just can't go with them.

We were supposed to be staying at AOA in the lion king suites. I called as soon as the news came out that AOA wouldn’t be open for our trip. They asked me what was most important to us on why we picked the family suites for 3 adults and a 2 year old. I told them the 2 bathrooms is an absolute must. They upgraded us to animal kingdom lodge kidani village in a 1 bedroom suite. I am thrilled with this upgrade!

Disney reached out to me today for our Mid-September trip and offered a 1 room villa at Old Key West! This is a good upgrade, right? :)

One room, or one bedroom? Either way, yes good if you're going from a room to any size villa. Less good if you're being moved from a Family Suites to a Studio.

Yeah, I'd say pretty decent...especially if you were in a regular room at AoA. Even if not, OKW is a "deluxe." You won't have access to the skyliner though...although it sounds like any possible benefit of the skyliner may be offset with long lines and down time so that may not be a bad thing. I really feel like "upgrades" are really perception based and depends on whatcthe guest values etc., but I'd say it's decent.
