Quick question....

I know Port Orleans has been excluded from free dining.. as well as the Little Mermaid Rooms at A of A.... (Am I correct?) so I am assuming that the other rooms at A of A are included. But do the family suites at A of A get you quick service or or regular dining plan? At the prices I would think you would get the regular, but I seem to remember hearing differently.

All the value resorts get the QSDP with free dining regardless if you are in a regular room or a suite. That's if they offer free dining and what rooms are included. Moderates and Deluxe get the regular DP. You can upgrade to the the regular or deluxe plans for a fee.

Thanks! We are Big Old Key West Fans and its hard to think of staying anywhere else.
But it's cheaper to take the fall discount and pay OOP for dining if we stay there.
I was hoping we could maybe do something different this trip... but husband especially is a creature of habit.

To answer one of your questions, yes the mermaid rooms have typically been excluded from and free dining at AoA. Suites have not.

Looking into costs, I was wondering if we should get free dining (quick service) and then pay OOP for a few sit down meals and use the leftover quick service meals for breakfast etc.... might be too much food!

Upgrade QS to the Dining plan: $19/adult and $3/kid a day. Figure out the cost to upgrade your family vs. the cost to pay OOP for the TS meals.

For my family of 6, it will be nearly the same cost to upgrade the whole week as it would cost to pay for one meal at CRT out of pocket.

After looking at how much the buffets cost (HOLY CROW) its definately worth it to upgrade.
It would be too much food to have 2 quick services and a table service most days and after paying OOP for even one buffet it would wreck any savings I was thinking about.
My husband says a BIG no any room where there aren't separate sleeping areas... to be able to have the teens relaxing somewhere other than on the bed or couch in our room, even if it's only in the next room is a must have for him so we are seriously considering the A of A with a dining upgrade at this point.
