I know I've read things on here before about all the public transportation, but I still have some questions now that I'm actually going to use it!

For the first time my daughter and I are riding the Amtrack down from Santa Clarita to the Anaheim station (one easy change at Union Station). Once we get there, the Amtrack person told me we could use those tickets (the Amtrack ones) to ride ART to Disneyland for free.

1) Is this correct- we won't have to pay for the ART ride?
2) Looking at the ART site- it looks like it's route 15. Can anyone confirm this for me?

3) Then on the way back home on Tuesday- am I going to have to go to an ART kiosk and pay for a ticket to the Amtrack station, or am I possibly able to purchase my Amtrack ticket the day we arrive and have it on hand when we board ART at Disney and not pay again? Does that make sense?

Thanks in advance! You've all helped me so much this last year! I can't believe how informative this site is :lovestruc

Oops!!! I said "Amtrack, but it's Metrolink! Sorry about that. Either way- I'm landing at the Anaheim train station.

Your plan should work. From the Metrolink website:

How to ride the ART shuttle

Your valid Metrolink ticket is good for a free connection to the ART shuttle and back. Just show the shuttle driver your valid Metrolink ticket as you board. Acceptable ticket types include the following:

Monthly Pass
7-Day Pass
Weekend Pass
Round-Trip Ticket (includes Special Ticket)
One-Way Ticket

Thanks! I actually called Metrolink again and got confirmation that I can get my return trip home ticket at the Kiosk when I arrive on Sunday and then can use it for ART to get back to the Anaheim station. I am still not sure if route 15 is the correct one, but it looks like it and says it runs every thirty minutes. So I will just check and ask the ART driver before hoping on. I'm so excited!:yay:
