Prior to this weekend I was using the company server to connect to the internet. I telecommute and they didn't care. However, this weekend they were transfering all servers and said that booting up over the weekend would be a no-no. Well the thought of an entire weekend without my DIS boards sent me into a panic. So there I am late on Friday trying to download MSN over the web. It wasn't working so I called their "help" desk who had me change a whole bunch of settings. I asked him if I wouldn't need to change them back and he said in a very superior tone that I wouldn't. Well at the end of the day we couldn't get the download past the firewall and I eventually had the brainpower to ask if they had a disk I could pick up. Obviously they did or I would be pacing my floors tonight.
Well I got it loaded and was as happy as clam but then each page seemed the same. Finally, 24 hours later I remembered that one of the changes he had me make was from loading a new version each time you visit a page to NEVER. So I've been wondering why everything looked the same!
If I ever get my hands on him. It would be OK if he just hadn't been so darn superior!
