Arriving Past 11 pm ~ Where to stay

We have decided to come in the night before our trip as to get a good night sleep instead of waking up at 3:30 am to get to the airport.

My problem(s) are that we can't get into Orlando until 10:25 pm EST. The Disney Hotel we are booked in is FULL the day we now plan to arrive.

I could use your advice as to what we should do:

1) Stay at another Disney hotel and then move the next day?
2) Stay at a hotel near the aiport then grab ME and head to the resort?
3) Change the reseveration and stay at a resort I know that has availability.

I am not so worried about cost so that isn't a factor. If there are other options or thoughts, I would LOVE to hear them. Thanks!

If you aren't worried about cost, I highly recommend the Orlando Airport Hyatt. It's right inside the airport. Get off the plane, take the tram thing to baggage claim, grab your bags and walk right to the Hyatt inside airport's lobby. Next morning, use Magical Express or rent a car to get to the resort. Could not be more convenient.

Arriving that late, one extra Disney resort night isn't going to be all that magical, IMO. May as well keep it simple.

I would keep checking for availability at the resort you currently have booked. Cancellations happen all the time. After that, if cost is not a factor I would just switch resorts to maximize my time/avoid having to move again. While I like certain resorts more than others I usually just pick based on whether we want an Epcot or MK resort.

I concur on the Airport Hyatt. It's a really nice hotel, and it couldn't be any easier. They will even pick up your luggage for you. Head off the plane and go directly to the hotel, they deal with bags for you. Same in the morning to go to ME.

I didn't know that (the bolded part). I think that may be new from since I stayed there last (years ago now). That just makes me want to recommend it more (and to fly to MCO again sometime).

Another vote for the Hyatt -- so convenient right in the airport, and it's nice, too. We've spent the night there a few times when we had really early morning flights out of MCO -- much easier than driving in from WDW those days.:)

Stay at POP or something. It will save you the hassle of getting to WDW the next day an show will get you out of the "real world" ASAP! Plus - magical express!

MCO Hyatt is so simple, you will wake rested and off to the ME and at the resort at the time that is convenient or you...So if ts 7am...or 10 am tthats all up to you.
Have a great trip...
And if you have AAA, its 170 for a standard room
Enjoy your trip.

I also find the Hyatt super convenient for a late arrival.

Plus, you then check in to your main hotel early in the morning instead of late at night, so I think that gives you a better chance to ask for a different room if you don't like your first room assignment. Assuming room assignment matters to you, of course.

That said, I have gotten great rooms with late check-ins, so I probably don't really know what I'm talking about.

I was faced with the same dilemma last yaear and we chose to stay on property. We got in extremely late (2 AM!) but we were able to sleep in and wake up without having o worry about luggage, transportation, or anything. Having said that, the Hyatt is a great alternative as well!
