Arriving NY's Day - Will Grocery Stores be Open, Rte 417/536??

It just dawned on me that we may have difficulty finding a place for a grocery stop on New Year's Day on our way from MCO to Swan. We land at 12:21 pm and are driving ourselves. Any advice from Fl. residents or holiday travel vets would be appreciated.

We fly in New Years day around the same time. What airlines are you flying? We are staying Jan 1-6 and splitting our stay between the YC and the AKL!

We're flying USAir and spending the first 3 days (at least) at the Swan, so we're practically neighbors. I'm still hoping to get the 4 th and 5th at either Swan or Dolphin at the Teacher's Rate. If not, it's off to the AllStars for those days then back to Dolphin. I think I'll get them though. If you're strolling the Boardwalk on New Year's Day, stick your head in the Big River Brew Company and/or ESPN Club and see if you can spot the bum in the picture. I'll be checking out the Bowl action there.

I used to work for a business that supplies grocery stores and I know the only day they close around here is Christmas. Some have shorter hours for Thanksgiving, etc., but you should have no trouble at all. After all, they gotta sell the beer and munchies for the ball games!

Yeah, I forgot all about the need to supply the Bowl Marathon. Actually, I've been off kilter (pun intended) ever since we changed our trip from March to Jan. We've never hit WDW during a holiday and even when I notice my countdown box, it doesn't feel like I'm going that soon. I'm still in Spring Break Disney Trip mode. This one's really sneaking up in me.
