We will be arriving around 9:00 p.m. to Disney via the Magical Express Bus system. We were told that the luggage is usually dropped off about two hours later to your room. We have two small kids so they will be ready for bed not long after we arrive. Is there anyway to get the luggage sooner? Anyone else experience this? THANKS!!!

Sometimes it gets there sooner, sometimes later. We arrived at our Disney hotel at around 6:30pm and went straight to the MK. When we got back to the room at 10PM out baggage had been delivered.

It would be best to use carry-on baggage for your kids' pajamas and anything else that you'd need immediately upon arrival at the hotel.

I agree! Pack essentials in your carry on!
On one of our trips our luggage got sent to the wrong hotel...it took over 6 hours for them to find it!!!!
They did allow us to purchase things at the gift shop (tooth brushes, etc.) and re-imbursed us for them...but it was extremely inconvenient!

Our luggage arrived about 5 hours after our plane landed when we used ME.

If my plane arrived any time after about 5 pm, I would just skip the ME luggage tags, get the luggage yourself and drag it to ME. You can still use ME even if you don't use their luggage tags. And then you will have all of your bags when you get there.

It just seems impossible these days to carry-on essentials with the 3 oz rules.

Enjoy!

Put the kids in jammies before you leave so they are ready for bed-thats what we used to do. We never had a problem with the luggage its always been there for us-but i have heard nightmare stories like that. Keep all essentials either in a carry on or a backpack!

When we were there in 06 and used ME we were at the resort around 9pm. I think that our luggage was there around 10:45. My dd was about asleep when they knocked on the door. I think that we even called because we were ready to go to bed.

I agree, pack bedtime needs in your carry on.

Carry on a bag with their pj's and bed time stuff. then when your luggage arives you'll be set :)

I totally agree with this poster. We got in later (around 7pm) and were told 2 hours for our luggage ... It came around 4am only because I called 3 times to inquire about it. Don't use the luggage tags and carry your own bags on ME if you're unable to pack what you need in your carry-ons. Fortunately I had PJs and toothbrushes for the kids and me but my husband wasn't so lucky.

I will have the same issue. We arrive at MCO about 9:40 p.m. I will take a change of clothes, pj's and toiletries in a carry on and ask the front desk to have our luggage held until the morning. I really would rather not get up at 2:00 a.m. for the ME luggage carriers!! With a change of clothes we can get up the next morning and do our thing and they can deliver our suitcases, whenever the next morning. I will go back or call the resort in the afternoon to confirm delivery! Have a wonderful trip!!

I believe I will have to "not" use the luggage service for ME. I guess we will just collect our bags and drag them with us to the ME. One main reason is because of the strict rules on the liquid items. Being the high maintenance woman that I am.. I will need several items before I go to bed and I can't pack it all in a carry on..:rotfl: Thanks alot for the advise.
