My wife and I are taking an adults only trip to WDW - arriving in Orlando area around 6:00-7:00 PM on Sunday Jan 19th. We'll be in BCV for 6 nights beginning the 20th. As of now we're wait listed for the 19th. I'm wondering if there is a decent low price motel off site where we could crash for 1 night(Sun). Any suggestions? Thanks

Did you see on the Home page that the Courtyard Marriott has a holiday promotion rate of only 39.00?!!! The regular rates are 139.00 per night! If you are coming in on the 19th and just looking for a place to crash, that sounds pretty good to me. I've never stayed there but for 39.00 a night I would. It's even a Downtown Disney Hotel (they say DD is only a 5-10 min. walk away) Hope this helps!:D

Oh gosh - I'm sorry. I just reread your post and realized you are looking for Jan. and not Dec. I'm sorry if I got your hopes up.:(

I suggest you stay at the Comfort Suites Maingate East. They have a beautiful hotel with great rates.I paid about $50 on hotelmartusa.com. THe rate includes a big breakfast and a huge suite. It's worth a night.you will definitely return there on your next visit..good luck

I've bid on hotels near the airport on Priceline through www.biddingfortravel.com and been very satisfied. Our arrivals were later--closer to 10pm, so we just needed a clean room.

We have stayed at the DD Marriott, and were very happy there.

Hampton Inn Maingate West

Check mousesavers.com for specials on the Hotel Roya Plaza in dt disney.

We are in the same boat arrving Jan 2 very late, so I tried priceline for the first time and have 2 rooms at the Marriott Airport for $27 each plus fees. I'm happy.

Herc.

We typically arrive late afternoon and just need a place to crash and recover from our drive. Whta we like to do is use our frequent stay points from one of the chains. Then its a freebie night!

Hercamore--hi i'll be arriving the night of january 2nd, 2003 too maybe i'll see you there LOL

Moonster--- I will be in Orlando on vacation in Jan. I have a disability (i use a wheelchair) and I booked a room at the CLARION HOTEL MAINGATE . I would like to find out how far attractions are from the hotel, if anyone stayed there, is it a good hotel or a bad hotel. I know I already booked the hotel and it is a little late but I just found out about these boards. If anyone knows anything about the accessibility of this hotel that would be a big help.

We have stayed in the Lake Buena Vista area several times now and can definately recommend the Residence Inn at lake buena Vista, and any of the Marriott (Courtyard, Fairfield, and Springhill Suites) Hotels in the Little Lake Bryan Complex.

You can also find great deals in the Grosvenor, Courtyard, and Marriotts at Downtown Disney.

Good Luck!!!
