Arriving by train, how do we get to Disneyland?

We (a group of nine of us) will be going the last week of August. We are arriving on the amtrak train in Los Angeles and are wondering what our options of transportion might be. Are biggest problem is our late arrival time of about 9:30PM!!! Any help would be appreiciated.

<font color=navy>Your best bet is to take the train to the Anaheim station. That's only about 5 miles or so from the Disneyland Resort. There are usually taxis waiting to give someone a ride.

I'm assuming that you are arriving at Union Station in Los Angeles at 9:30 pm, if so it looks like there is an Amtrak train that you can take to Anaheim which leaves LA just after 10 pm. Here is a link to the train schedules out of Union Station:

Because of your late arrival time, I would definitely check on the availibility of the 10 pm train. If that fails, I would make a reservation for a local hotel and have the number of a local taxi company with you. In my opinion (and I've live a very sheltered life), Union Station is NOT in the best part of LA and I would not want to hang around there at night! Worst case scenerio then would be to stay in a hotel overnight then take train to Disneyland. Or it may be cheaper just to rent a car. Usually the rental car places will come pick you up and take you to the rental place. It is pretty far from Union Station to Disneyland and I think a taxi would be very expensive!

A few years back the Coast Starlight continued on to san diego via anaheim (albeit with only the coach sections) as an "add on" to the San Diegans route. Has anything changed?

About 4 years ago it was a $9.00 taxi ride to DLH from Anaheim. Don't know about now.
