We're going to arrive at Disney around lunchtime on a Weds- any suggestions as to which park we should check out that first day?
We have a toddler- so I imagine we'll have to grab some lunch as soon as we get there.
Thanks!:bounce:

What Resort?

I would stick around the area of my resort the first day. Also, you could go to the park that is open the latest or I would go to the Animal Kingdom (which will be the park that will close the earliest) then go to the one that closes thhe latest (probably Epcot). There are almost to many reasons to go to each park for the first day.

we are arriving on 3/17 at the WL.
what about MGM?
would that be a good place to go for the afternoon?
I have no clue!!!

Animal Kingdom is a good idea. We could grab lunch at the Rainforest Cafe and then go look around. See the parade.
Hmmm- this might be an idea!!!

We too are arriving mid-day and have done so before. This is what we do and never regret it every year.
First day... we go to MK and see the parade. Then when we go to spend another day at MK, during the parade, we go to Fantasyland and pretty much walk onto all the rides while the parade is going on.
That way we save a lot of time waiting in lines plus we don't miss the parade either.
Have fun though whatever you choose to do.

You're not *at* Disney until you've been to the Magic Kingdom! At least that's the way we look at it! So we always head to MK for our first day, be it a full day or half! That way, I know I'm really there! I see the castle on Main St. and I'm right back in 'my happy place!"

MagicPrincess,

Let me see...I would check into the Lodge then walk out to the dock and jump on the launch :boat: to MK have lunch either make a PS or wing it...late lunch may not be a problem, but if you have a PS it might be easier. Depending on the crowds maybe do one or two attractions...catch the 3:00p.m. Parade...go back to the Lodge unpack check out the Resort. Then if everybody was tired make it a early night. If everyone is UP for more I would ride the Monorail to EPCOT and catch a few attractions there.

If you decide to go to AK after lunch I would go to Camp Minnie-Mickey and see The Festival of the Lion King. Then let your little one meet some characters followed by the parade.

I agree with kadaten, you're not "at" Disney until you enter the MK. While we always make it our 1st park, we don't have a set schedule once there. However, 80% of the time, Pirates is our first ride (Buzz sometimes wins out).

The best thing is to just play it by ear and do whatever you feel like doing!
