We have been to DW twice but this our first time in DL and I can't wait! I have tried to absorb as much as possible from the boards as it helped tremendously on our DW trips.
If anyone can offer some advice I would appreciate it!
What should our plan be on Sunday morning as far as EE- 7 am but we are hoping to be there. It will be at DCA and of course no Soarin' is needed Also on Tuesday we have EE at DL- same question as far as fast passes/ plan.
Last question- want to do PTN and fireworks- thoughts on Sunday vs. Tuesday- also do we come with a blanket and stake out our spot at 7:00- if that is early enough for the 8:45?

Any other words of advice-other than enjoy ourselves!

Many thanks!

DCA: Toy Story, RSR, Tower of Terror
DL: Space Mtn, Haunted Mansion, PoC
choice is yours

PTN/Fireworks fairly accesible. Should be good even up to within 20mins of showtimes.

How exciting! If you can, I highly recommend the 7am early entry. It is sometimes hard to get up for, but so worth it. The earlier the entry, the fewer people will go and the emptier the park will be.

For your own knowledge, fast passes are not available during early entry. So all lines are standby. You can be waiting at the FP machines, though and get the first FPs of the day at regular park opening.

For DCA, I normally recommend that you avoid the crush of people heading to Carsland and make a beeline for Toy Story Mania as that ride has no FP and is routinely a long wait. Ride Toy Story, then California Screamin'. Ride Tower of Terror if you can. Head back to the entrance once early entry is over and grab a FP for Radiator Springs Racers. Remember that the FP machines for this ride are at the entrance to Bugs Land. Once you have your FP you can either enjoy Carsland or head over to Tower of Terror of you were unable to squeeze it in.

For Disneyland early entry, it is generally agreed that the best use is for Fantasyland. This is because these rides have no FP and are slow loaders. The queues generally only increase throughout the day. So first ride should be Peter Pan, the most popular Fantasyland ride of them all. If you can be among the first wave to this ride, great! You may have to ditch it though if it the line becomes too crazy. If you can, do Dumbo and Alice and Matterhorn and then the rest of Fantasyland as you are able. If you can, be ready for your first FP of the day right when the park opens. Tomorowland is a good bet.

For PTN/fireworks I would recommend this thread, it has a lot of great info:

Thanks so much for your thorough response. I actually didn't realize there was no fast pass during EE. Appreciate you taking the time to respond!
