Arriving at DHS just for Fantasmic

We try to pick one night show to keep the kids up for. Next trip it’s Fantasmic!

Normally we are in the park already when we go to Fantasmic. Depending on how our day goes we may be coming from our resort just for Fantasmic.

1. Fantasmic is at 9. What time should we shoot for to arrive at the DHS gate?

2. Do a lot of people hop into the park just for Fantasmic/Star Wars fireworks or should it be a fairly quick entry into the park?

3. If we want to scoot out right after Fantasmic while the Star Wars fireworks are going on is it still easy to leave the park? Or too congested with people stopping to watch?

1. I'd try to be entering by about 7:30, and go line up for F!. You may be able to get a same-day FastPass to increase your seating choices.

2. I don't think entering at that time would take too long. There might be short lines with a few people in them.

3. When you leave, you can stay to the left and they open a backstage path that puts you out very close to the front, avoiding the Star Wars crowd. It's of course still a herd of people moving out of the amphitheater and down this path but there is no gridlock or anything and you can exit immediately.

Ditto.

We went into HS at 6pm a fortnight ago for a 7pm show. We had FPs made earlier than day. It was quiet going in, parking booths were unmanned and we parked near the front. We stopped for photos on Hollywood Boulevard, and headed over there. We were seated a reasonable way around the arena.

I've seen Fantasmic a number of times and we always use the red path to cut up to the front gates quickly but we've never used the orange path to exit the amphitheater. Is it worth it to fight through the crowds to get to the orange exit path if we were sitting over on the other side of the arena?

It MIGHT be, if you want to exit near the front gates (if they have that section of the path open when you get to it.)
