Arriving at 11pm...what to do with Magical Express?

Hi everyone,

We just received our docs over the weekend for our upcoming trip!:banana:
However, I needed to call MS to set it up for friends of ours who are staying on our points at the same time. I was a little surprised that the CM told me since we are arriving after 10pm we HAD to pick up our luggage and schelp it over onto the busses. I told her we would have an overnight bag and was expecting our bags to be delivered the next morning. The CM said under NO circumstances would the resort (in this case, BLT) hold our bags til morning--we would undoubtedly be woken up at 2 or 3am if we didn't take them ourselves.:confused3

My friend, who is staying with us this trip said on her last stay, in which they arrived late, she just told the resort (ASM) to keep them and send them the next day over to AKV. They didn't have an issue. So, I'm wondering if something changed recently that I don't know about??? Or can I just let the front desk know at check-in that we don't wish to receive our bags til the AM as I planned???

For airport arrivals after 10:00 p.m., Guests must collect their luggage at Baggage Claim and transport it with them on the motor coach.

I'd be concerned if you didn't pick them up, they would be sitting out at the airport all night. The DME workers probably leave after the 10:00 flights come in.

How late did your friend arrive? As others have posted; those arriving after 10pm will have to pick up their own luggage.

She doesn't remember exactly, but it was close to 11pm. She didn't arrive at ASM until after midnight. She asked the front desk to hold the luggage til morning and then send it directly over to AKV, which they did. Maybe she had a little extra pixie dust then...:tinker:

Thanks for your responses--as much as I don't want to, we're just going to grab our luggage, to be safe. Funny, the CM didn't say a word about our arriving after 10--just that our luggage would be delivered at 2 or 3 am! I hadn't thought about our 10:40pm flight.
 
The 10pm deadline was a change maybe a year ago. It was not in effect when DME started. They probably did not want to pay workers to stay late at night with only a few flights coming in.
