Our flight arrives at 6:30 PM on 11/18. Trying to get an idea of when to expect our luggage using ME. It's just going to be DD and I so trying to avoid having to get the bags ourselves.

Assume it could take up to 90 minutes to get to the resort on the DME bus and up to three hours after check in to get the bags delivered to your room. That would have them being delivered at 11:00 p.m. or before if all goes as planned.

Thanks i was thinking it was 3 hours from when the plane lands.

Nope. Although they may be delivered within three hours of flight arrival, the estimate provided by DME is up to three hours after resort check in (assuming that's after the room should be available, which in your case it is).

in Jan 2010, our plane landed at 7:30 pm, and we got our bags between 10:30 and 11. After check in, we went down to the lobby and ate at our hotel's CS restaurant. Shortly after we got back is when our luggage arrived.

In Feb, We'll be arriving around the same time. I'll be putting DD's pj's and toothbrush in my carry-on this time. She was WIPED out last time.

Regardless of how long you expect DME to deliver your bags (and even if you plan to collect your own bags), it's always a good idea to have whatever you might need for your first 24 hours packed in your carry-on bags in the event that the airline delays, misdirects or loses one or more of your checked bags. That's a much more likely scenario than major delays or problems with DME's luggage transfer service and there's nothing that Disney can (or should be expected to) do if the airline has problems with your bags.

Thanks I will make sure we have what we need right away in our carry-on bags.

Thanks that's our plan too after we check in go grab something to eat CS.

Last October, we arrived at MCO at 7pm. We stayed at POR. Once we got to POR, we went to check the room out and leave the girls back pack from the flight then went back to the main building for dinner. When we returned to out room, our suitcases were there waiting for us. We were in bed by 10 pm in our jammies.

90 minutes is the outside arrival to your resort. Average is about 60 - 70 minutes. On our last trip, we arrived at 6:10 PM. We got to our resort at about 7:00. We arrived during the weekend of record rainfall. Our luggage didn't arrive until close to midnight because the rain had caused such a delay, so that certainly isn't the norm.

With that being said, pack everything you need for the night in your carry on. If it starts getting too late for delivery, call Bell Services and have them deliver your bags in the morning.

Here's hoping we have the same experience you had :goodvibes
