Arriving 6/15 need Chef Mickey's help!

Will be arriving about 2:00 on Sunday, 6/15 staying offsite at Hampton Inn, Lake buena Vista. Thinking of trying to get PS at Chef Mickeys fairly early like 4:30 or so. Here is my question, this is our first trip can you take a bus from Contemporary to DTD if you are staying offsite?? About how long does the Chef Mickeys Dinner actually take? This is our 1st Disney trip and thought this would be a good first Dinner for our girls (4&8) and Father's Day gift and then some shopping,etc.. at DTD before we hit MK on Monday!!! Thanks for any thoughts on this....

First off, the earliest PS at Chef Mickey's is 5pm I believe. Second, yes, you should be able to take a bus to DTD from the CR however, you will only be allowed to park there for a couple of hours unless you park in MK parking and that costs. Your best bet is to just drive to DTD from there and you will not have to worry about paying to park. As for the meal, it usually takes us about 1 1/2 hours to finish, but we take our time just so we get more character interaction. Hope this helps.

You better go ahead and try to get that PS. I imagine they are booked already.
It would be much easier for you to just drive to DTD. We just stayed at the CR and we drove to DTD. Only used the monorails for Epcot and MK, never tried the buses since we had a car. Do know that you should not stay in the parking lot longer than allowed. It really was difficult for us to find a spot one evening.

Chef Mickey's does open at 5:00. We did not have PS but decided to give it a try on our first evening and we were seated right away. I think it pays to show up early. We arrived around 4:40 and we are a party of 5. Good luck! I say make PS if you can, but don't be afraid to show up if you don't.

Thanks for the info, just called and got PS for Chef Mickeys!!!! My girls watched the special last night on the Food Network and can't wait to eat at Chef Mickeys!!!! I think this will be a great start to our Disney Trip!!!!
