Arriving 2-3pm on a Saturday in July

Okay - figured out that our first day in at the parks will be on a Saturday in July with a mid-afternoon arrival time. We'll probably stay until close that night. I really hate lines.

1) Is there a place that lists the rides with FP?

2) And whether or not we can still get a FP for that day with that arrival time? I hear RSR will be gone by then.

3) We can also do single rider lines - but how long are those typically? Of our three days, only one can we arrive at RD - so I figure we'll head right to TSM and RSR that day.

4) Also - do you HAVE to use the FP within the return time window - or can you use it anytime starting at the return time?

For a WDW vet, I'm starting to appreciate FP+ a bit more now that I am trying to plan a trip to Disneyland with no real crowd flow knowledge!

The regular DL app lists return times and if FP is available.

At that time you're likely to walk into DL and hit a wall of people at the far end of Main St. Stick to DCA until after Fireworks that night, it won't be as much of a shock to the system.

They are very strict on FP return times. There is no policy for a grace period at all. Some people may report exceptions, but there have also been reports of people being turned away as little as 5 minutes late. If the ride is down during your window they will honor the FP later, but that is the only consistent exception.

Not all single rider lines are created equal. They are all lines, there's no avoiding lines in July. Some like Soarin and Matterhorn can be almost as long as the standby queue. And when really busy SR may not be available. If you want to go on rides, it's best to go in with the mindset that there will be long lines, even at rope drop after the first ride of the day.

We usually arrive mid afternoon in July. I would suggest the Disneyland App. It will tell you what ride wait times are and what fastpasses are available. We've always managed to find rides with less than 25 minute waits. Sometimes we do shows and parades that first day.
