We're at GCV in 2520. Can see Paradise Pier from our balcony along with some construction and portopotties, but still kind of nice. Would be better on a higher floor, but not a big deal. We have a partial view of the Pixar parade and obstructed view of WOC, but just fine and really nice.

The room is nice - same argument I have with BLT - sinks are too high for small kids to washs their hands without help and bathroom pocket door doesn't lock securely and it was hard to lock at all.

Check in was friendly and great. Took a while to get here though - hopped right on Disneyland Resort Express (greyline tours = $99 round trip for 5 people) and had to stop at DL Hotel first - which was fine. The ride was great - no traffic and we were the only famiy on the bus. Arrived at DLH to find out that there was a fire of some sort at PP and all the roads were blocked to GCV. They even tried to bring us in on carts, but turned us back. The kids loved it though. We just checked our bags there and walked through DD to GC for check in. Our bags came over later.

DL opens at 0700 this morning so we're getting ready to check it out! Will try to get dh to put up some pics later. Have a great day folks!

We got here yesterday, too!

Everything has been super fun so far. The CMs are so great. It was freezing last night, but tonight at Mickey's party it wasn't as bad. Unfortunately, we didn't know where we had to be standing to have the best view of the fireworks so we were partially obstructed but whatevs, the boys loved it. We went to DCA this morning, too. Good times!

I agree about the sinks. Also WTH is up with the shower? Why does the shower head spin around like that? And why not have a little pressure so I can actually wash the shampoo out? haha. I guess it's because they are trying to conserve.

Then I went to go get some ice and I felt like I was getting a shave ice (Hawaiian version of a snow cone). Why is it all soft and snowy and not cubes? Weird.

It's supposed to warm up. I can't wait to go swimming!

Have a great time and I look forward to hearing more about your trip as it progresses! :goodvibes

Thanks for the update!!! 2 more sleeps for me:woohoo:

I hear its supposed to be hot, hot Wed, Thurs.... maybe I am a little nervous about that!!!

How are the crowds today, after Halloween is over!

Have a happy day!

Went to DCA today because we are going to take advantage of MM tomorrow. We were there for rope drop and still had to wait about 12 minutes for TSMM. When we got out, the wait was 30 min. Our fastpasses for TOT were like 2 1/2 hours later (we got them after an early lunch -- around noon) and the wait was up to 55 minutes early in the day. But we still had fun and it was warm enough to go on GRR! Waited only 25 min. to do so.

Glad you're having fun.

Yes, it will be pretty hot for the next few days during the day but be prepared that it will still be pretty cold at night, especially when the skies are so clear!

And while it will be pretty hot during the middle of the day directly in the sun, it will still be cool/cold in the shade. And the sun sets pretty early so be ready. Next week the sun will be setting even earlier!

Its been cool in the mornings and evenings, but the afternoons were beautiful. I wouldn't call it hot, but I'm from TN :) We had kind of a strange day - parks didn't open until 10. We went to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast.

Goofy's Kitchen: Pluto, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Jasmine, Belle, Baloo came by. Character interaction was great. (Actually Pluto was the one you got your picture with for the photo package - which we declined). Interesting concept to pay up front, but actually pretty convenient. Was pricey for breakfast, IMHO, but the food was all good quality and the breakfast/lunch variety was nice.

We got to the monorail station around 10:45 and it was lined up. I guess they only had 1 monorail running - don't know if that is the norm or not. We rode around and DL appeared to be quite busy, but we didn't get out just wanted to ride through and check things out. DH was waiting for Vons and working a bit in the room. We got back out at the DD station and walked to CA. Ds wanted to ride Monsters Inc - which was walk on and GRR which had a 15 min wait. Things looked to be picking up crowd wise, but most things around 15-30 minutes. We headed back to the room around 3 for a swim. The pools don't appear to be heated and even though it was warm outside the water was still cold. Wasn't crowded at the pool at all.

We went back over to CA around 4:30 or so. Fliks was all walk ons, TSM was 30 min, most everything was steadily decreasing in wait times it looked like. We came back to our room around 6ish. Planning on going to EE at DL tomorrow morning.

Quick notes - trick or treating at the resorts - FANTASTIC!!! Kids had a blast and got lots of good treats.

Vons - was almost 2 hours late. Prices weren't that different than back home. Unfortunately the pack of provolone slices they sent was covered in mold. Gonna have to follow up on that later.

The CM's have all continued to be wonderfully friendly and helpful. Will keep you posted.
