I probably won't be much help for those driving. We left Wednesday at 7:30pm(night befor thanksgiving). We drove to 4pm. Up at and out by 9am(thursday). Had car trouble in Ga,stopped for the night in Cordele so we could have a dealer check it out on Friday. Seems the anti theft wan't reconizing the key in the starter so the car kept stalling out and restarting
. Long story here, we didn't get any help and had to drive to a dealer in Orlando. Let me just say that the ford dealer here went above and beyond to help us. I believe it was the ford on Orange blossom trail. Anyway besides the car troble the drive down was great. Plenty of gas stations open on thanksgiving day. Light traffic all days. Lots of construction cones in Ga., no construction was going on. Remind me to never let my DSIS navigate(i had been warned). Somehow we did the Atlanta bypass going back in the directions we had just came from, the whole time shes absolutley positive it was the Macon bypass. I did question her directions and all i got was a
look. Well after that I harassed her the whole trip
. The drive back was without incedent. We left 8:30am on December 6th stoped at a outlet mall and Magnolia Place, stoped at shoneys for lunch and dinner. We stopped about 3/4 of the way in the mountains in TN. The next day I think we left about 8am. We stopped for lunch and arrived home about 6pm in Michigan. Again being the weekend no constrution and traffic was pretty good. Susan
