Arrival Times???

Wondering what is the average time from arrival at airport to arrival at resort using ME?

Also, what is the average time it takes to checkin at resort?

We're arriving at MCO at 2:30 pm in November and are staying at the Contemporary. By the time we get there, we'll be starving so I want to make early dinner reserv. in Epcot. I'm thinking about 5PM?

I'm guessing it will take about 1-1/2 hrs from arrival to finishing check-in. (4PM) and then 1/2 hr to Epcot on monorails (4:30) and then 1/2 hr to get to restaurant?

Is that cutting it too close? or not make it on time? Am I being unrealistic?

6 might be a little safer...also keep in mind that your luggage might not show up in time for you to change for dinner which may or may not matter to you that night. Bring what you need in a carryon or wear it on the flight , especially if you go with the 5 PM ressie! Have fun!

I would make your reservation for 6 pm or later. 1st - your flight not get in right at 2:30. 2nd - That is a busy check in time because many people try to check in around the time rooms are available (3:00). You might make it if everything goes just right...

It may take 10-15 minutes to get to the ME location, 5 minutes to checkin, 10-20 minute wait for the bus and maybe an hour to drive to WDW and make a stop or two before you get to the Contemporary. I think POLY and GF guests get dropped off before the Contemporary. I'd figure 2 hours, probably less.
