Arrival time question

So we're heading to Universal Studios for the first time tomorrow, and I'm wondering what time we should plan to be at the parking garage to make it there in time to avoid huge lines. Any advice from all you Universal experts out there?

You want to be there about half an hour or twenty minutes before the park opening! It takes a little time to walk from the garage to CityWalk and then onto the park entrance.

Then grab an Express pass for a ride that you want to go on that you KNOW gets busy quickly (such as The Mummy or MIB). Shrek does NOT have Express passes unless you are staying at the Hard Rock Cafe, RPH, or Portofino.

If I'm outside at Shrek - say "hi!" I'm working tomorrow.
