Where would you suggest for dinner on our arrival night in a few weeks? Would you suggest Downtown Disney for either Tortilla Jo's, Naples, or Quick Service? Ralph Brennan's looks interesting too but a little more expensive than the others. Or would we be better off going to Bubba Gump? We are two adults and 2 kids (11 and 8). We are staying at the Hyatt House and plan to visit Downtown Disney that night whether we eat there or before we go. We live close to many of the chain restaurants located near Bubba Gump and have the opportunity to go at home, although Bubba Gump isn't as easy to get to while at home. Thanks!

We're planning on Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel. We have first-timer grandkids and want to be full Disney from the get-go.

Ralph Brennan's is a must do for us every trip, the food is fantastic but you are right that they are a bit on the spendy side. This trip we are going to Bubba Gump's our first night, as we have never been there before.

Although completely not fancy, we like to wander around DTD and then get sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich. It's not so bad on the budget! That's what we'll do on our upcoming trip, then make sure we're back at our hotel to watch the fireworks from the roof.

We really enjoyed. RalpH B. But we always do Tortilla j on our first day. .order margaritas some top shelf and some Virgin ..sit outside and take it all in.

If you're already in DtD I'd eat there. Rainforest Cafe if the kids have never done it, Earl of Sandwhich if you want to be most budget friendly. Idk the other restaurants. We really enjoy Bubba so I recommend that if you don't find yourself in DtD that night.

We always do Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen for our first night.

The shrimp and grits and beignets!!! Oh my

Mouth watering

We sometimes do Tortilla Joes for dinner. Just make sure to get the guacamole "bar". We usually just go to Ralph Brennan Express for begneits in the morning for a quick bite, or Rainforest if we have time for a sit down breakfast. You could also do Roscoes Chicken and Waffles for dinner, just south on Harbor from hotel

You can look at the menus on allears.net to see what would appeal most to your family. It's always nice to know ahead if something just isn't going to work. Also, EOS used to offer a AAA discount, so if you have a membership, it couldn't hurt to ask about this.

Keep in mind you can also eat at the Resorts as well. Our first evening we went through Downtown Disney to Trader Sam's at the Disneyland Hotel. While maybe not someplace you're going to want to wait on with small kids it was a great Disney start to our vacation. You could also go next door to Tangaroa Terrace, which I understand also prepares the food for Trader Sam's and may be less of a wait. When we went there were plenty of tables outside at Trader Sam's, but the fun really is being inside when they serve the drinks that make the bar "come alive." There are of course other options at the 3 Disney Resorts as well.

If your kids would enjoy the experience go to Goofy's Kitchen. We did that for our first night on our last trip and it's so much fun to have the character experience to start the trip and not waste precious park time. I have to say I didn't really like the food there but I didn't at the Rainforest either but Goofy's is more fun. When we went Rainforest was packed and really not much fun. Brennan's was great food and a fun restaurant for my husband and I but the kids were bored, but they were a lot younger than yours, and it's pricy. If you go there definitely get the kids the light up drink. It's the fun light cube thing like they do at the Blue Bayou.

I think is it the Blues Brothers that just moved out of DtD? That was a huge space last time me were there. Maybe someone can mention what it is now and if that would be worth going to.

I'm pretty sure they're still working on whatever House of Blues was. There was a big building being worked on in the area I assume was House of Blues when we were there in June.
