We will be arriving on September 24. Our plane gets in at 11:30. I am wondring what we shourld do after we get checked in at one of the value resorts. There will be two people. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advanced.

Your room may or may not be ready. By 11:30 I am assuming you mean AM.

You can check in, though, even if your room is not ready. They will let you know when it is, or you can call to see. They will go ahead and give you KTTW cards (room keys), and if you have park tickets on them, you can go ahead and use them to enter a park, and come back to your room later when it's ready.

That's the day we arrive too, although we get in around 5pm. We were thinking of going to one of the monorail resorts and having dinner at a counter service restaurant, then riding the monorail. We wanted to Downtown Disney for dinner, but figure it would be extra crowded since it is Saturday evening at dinner time.

OP if your plane lands at MCO at 11:30 and you're taking DME then you should be at your resort by 1:00. Grab a bite to eat then head to which ever park is open late that night. Hope you have fun. DH and I will be arriving that day too:cool1:

:-) we are also arriving on the 24th. We're arriving later, @ 3. By the time we get to Pop I'm guessing it'll be 4/430. We plan on checking in & then heading to MK area. I made later dinner ressies at Liberty tree so we could take our time, we have hoppers for the trip. If we were arriving sooner i would pack swim stuff in my carry on & swim until the room was ready. I've also been known to nap while waiting, in a friends room. No use starting off the tired & rushed.
Are any of you staying until the wine & dine Half?

If you land at 11:30, I would plan on the travel to your hotel, and check-in to take you to about 1:30.

It will hopefully be quicker, but I always like to plan more time. Then if it takes less, I feel like I saved time.

1:30 is still pretty early, and you have a lot of options.

If you do DME, you bags will not show up in your room untill later. So I would suggest packing what you might want/need, in a carry-on bag (such as swim wear, hats, sun screen, etc.).

If it is nice out, you might want to relax, go for a swim, and then order up a pizza and hang out in your room.

You could go to a park, and if your staying 5, 6 or more days, the marginal cost of extra days is only a few extra dollars.

Illuminations or Wishes might be a great to see.

You can go for a nice dinner (just be reallistic about the to and from travel times). If you don't go to a park that night, you might not mind spending 2 hours or so over a nice dinner.
Chef Mickey's is always fun, to get you in the spirit of things. I don't think the food is that good there, but the character interaction is fun.

What every you plan, make sure it is what you want to do. Plan reallistically for the amount of time it will take, and you'll be off to a great visit to WDW
