Arrival Day.... Should we plan on getting on any rides?

We decided to go on arrival day in November, and to add the day onto our park tickets. The longest line we waited in was at guest services in MK to add the day. Arrived at MK around 3pm, had a great time, scheduled several FPs once we got into the park. I'm sure the most popular rides were probably gone but I can't remember because my kids love everything, they didn't care what we had FPs for, as long as they didn't have to wait. :-)

Definitely doing a park on arrival day. We are driving (split day drive from GA) and should arrive around 12 or 12:30 ar SSR. We'll do lunch at Artist Palette and hopefully get in our room early. Hoping to be at MK by 3. We have 7 day PH.

If you really want to do HS that day, are you opposed to doing it before Beaches & Cream? FP from 4-5, 5-6, 6-7? Take the boat/bus from HS to Beach Club or walk. Eat and then see how you feel...either go back to room for early night or walk to Epcot for 4th FP (that you will have already made from your phone- Yay!!), Illuminations, Explore World Showcase or whatever interests you. We have also had good luck with Soarin and Test Track standby (20 or so min) during Illuminations. Test track single rider is also an option if that suits your family. We pack our days pretty full because we take short trips so we always go to a park the first day...

YES! I think this is exactly what we will do!!! Thank you!!!

We normally take the first flight out and are in a park by noon on arrival day. We always have FP's, although its tougher to get the best rides ie. 7DMT or Test Track for that first day since most have already been taken by folks who started earlier.........it is what it is :)

For our November trip we had planned on a Sunday morning arrival as usual........but then thought, why not arrive a day earlier........sleep in..........visit a park if ya have to but make it more about "free and easy". This trip is a big one as we're going with my brother and his family...........so we're coming in on Saturday and spending a night in a Royal Room at POR. Its all about nostalgia for us.....since Port Orleans was our 1st Disney resort.

In the end we'll be rested for when my brother arrives on Sunday (we're staying at AKV).........and we'll finally get to see Yeehaw Bob!!!
