We have a fantasmic package at H&V for 4:10 on our arrival day...when we made the ADRs the plan was to take the flight with an 11:00 am arrival. Now, we are taking a later flight (1:30 pm arrival) and staying extra days (worked out to be cheaper with later flight and an extra 2 days)....that gives us 2 1/2 hours to get to the resort by ME, check-in, and get to MGM from CSR. First off, is this possible? And, what if the flight is delayed...can we just show up a little late or will we lose our spot and still have the credit card charged?

TIA.

I would not think that was feasible, esp. since you can't guarantee that the plane won't be delayed, not to mention you can't guarantee the line for ME, the amt of stops ME will make, what the line at CSR will be like to check in, etc. Plus IDK about you but I would not want to run out to a park after travelling without having time to 'freshen up'
As far as the showing up late, I am not certain what their policy is. Since the FDP are usually booked super early to ensure you can get to the show, they may not let you be seated past a certain time and still get the passes for Fantasmic!
Is there any wiggle room in your itinerary to rebook it for another night?

Sounds a little rushed to me. Perhaps you can re-schedule for another night and enjoy your resort pool and dining room or even a later dinner reservation in Downtown Disney.

If your flight is on time it might be doable, but VERY rushed. Most people report a 90 minute time frame from the time the plane lands until arriving at their resort via ME.

That's puts you checking in at 3pm... prime check-in time. If it takes you 30 minutes to check in, you'll really be pushing it to get to DS, though security and to H&V in 30 minutes. Boy the DS bus better be right there when you're ready to leave.

You can always call dining and see if they have a later seating available... like maybe 4:45 or 4:50.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the opinions....I'll probably check with dining to see if they have something just a little later...then again, it wouldn't be a vacation if we didn't rush around the entire time.

Cutting it a tad close there.......

I have had my flights booked for months and have seen the departure times change 3x since that booking and still have 8 more weeks until we leave.

As a general rule, I do not plan any hard ticket events on the day of arrival unless they are in the evening (after 6) and I know for sure that I have a flight that gets us down there by noon. That said, there is something to eb said about the phrase "the best laid plans of mice and men......".

I would probably try to schedule this for another night if at all possible or nix the dinner portion which would then give you better flexibility for show times not to mention get you better seating if your are willing to wait at the main get a little longer (60-90 minutes out from show time).
