Arrival day questions

Our plane lands at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, taking ME to Pop. I'm trying to decide on whether to do AK, DHS or none of the above on our arrival day. We are leaving to come home that Thursday around 7 p.m. so we have 3 full days plus arrival and departure day and we are skipping Epcot. We are going to be doing MK on Monday, really hoping to be there for rope drop at Toontown, coming back for a break and then returning for EMH. My questions-how long would you allow for DHS if you are doing Playhouse Disney, Muppet Vision, the HISTK playground, maybe the stunt show and ToT 2 or 3 times, oh and seeing the Osborne lights? Would there be any disadvantage to doing this on our arrival day? Would there be any disadvantage to doing AK on our arrival day? Would there be any disadvantages to doing either of these parks on our departure day?

I think you would have enough time on your arrival day to do everything you list for DHS, except I'm not sure about ToT 2 or 3 times. But if you reach the park by noon and get ToT FPs right away, then 2 hours later you ought to be able to get another set (hopefully the FPs won't all be gone by then).

The only disadvantage I can see to doing AK instead on your arrival day is that there might be the same problem with Expedition Everest if you want to do it 2 or 3 times.

As far as your departure day is concerned, if your flight leaves at 7:00 p.m., then you wouldn't be able to see the Osborne Lights if you do DHS that day.

Well there goes my suggestion. Epcot is the one park I don't feel I need to be there for rope drop.

Since AK closes the earliest, I would not go there on arrival day, when you might get there later than you think. I am choosing this for my departure day park on my upcoming trip because I will need to leave the park by about 3:30, and they're closing at 5:00 anyway.

Since you're skipping Epcot, I would make DHS my arrival park. You may miss out on FP's for TSM, but you didn't mention that as something you were planning to do.
