Arrival day plans?

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :space: :moped: :boat: :boat:

This is my plan:

Arrive in orlando / hotel area by 10:30 am. -either check in room or keep luggage in trunk ..
Drive to Animal Kingdom, 10 mins. later.
Eat lunch @ Flame Tree BBQ
Do few rides
Back to hotel @ 4:30 pm
unpack at hotel 445pm-5:30 pm

Go to Magic Kingdom for 6pm
Eat @ Liberty Tree Tavern @ ___??? what time should we eat??
Tour the park til 11pm (if open that late on a saturday in october?)

Back to hotel or downtown disney marketplace.

If MK closes early that nite, we'll eat @ Ohana in Polynesian Resort.
We'll find out in July or August, when Oct's park hours come out!
:hyper:

We'll be there with a large group (18 of us!) and some are driving pretty long distances. So, we're planning to leave Savannah (those coming from other states will arrive here on Thurs. or Fri.) on Sat. July 31 at around 6am, get to Orlando around 1pm or so, check in to the resort and head to the Premium Outlets, then on to DTD. We have a Magical Gatherings Fireworks Cruise scheduled that night to "kick off" our vacation!

We'll be arriving in Orlando around 10 am, hoping to be checked into POR and on our way by noon.
Heading to MGM, dinner ressie @ Hollywood & Vine around 4:30, then we'll head back to POR to get into our room. Back to MGM we go for Fantasmic at 9pm.:bounce:
That will probably be our only day at MGM.

See you in....

We are staying the night in Savannah, Driving from Delaware. We are heading straight to DTD while we wait for check-in. We check into our hotel at 4pm (offsite) then we will get freshened up & be at Chef Mickeys at 7pm. I can't wait!!!! :) :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hope you enjoy your stay here MagicalMom! Do you know where you're staying yet?

We are staying at the Fairfield Inn. Are you familiar with it? I got it through priceline. Two rooms for 25.00 each. We are looking forward to our stay, but may be soooo exhausted that we don't get to take in any scenery! :)

Our plane gets into Orlando at 10:30 am. By the time we do our grocery stop, I expect it to be about 12:30 when we arrive at BCV. We will check in and then go have lunch.

Lunch will be at ESPN Zone on the Boardwalk. Next, it's off to activate the PAP's. After that, mini-golf (we have a group tournament that's been going on for years).

Our room won't necessarily be ready until 4 pm, so I don't plan to unpack until then. Then it's unpack, freshen up, and take two grown women on their first monorail ride to their first character meal at Chef Mickey's!

We plan to call it an early night that night so we can get up and hit Mission: SPACE at Epcot. DH is dying to get on this ride!!!

*happy dance*

I just can't wait to go!

If it's the one on White Bluff Rd. you should be o.k. It's close the the military base here. Do you know if that's it?

Kristin's Mommy, That must be it. My notes say White Bluff Rd. I know it's a bit from 95, but I couldn't beat the price. :)

Here's the easiest way to get there:
Take I-16 east to Lynes (sp?) Parkway west.
White Bluff Rd. will be the second light, turn right.
It will be on your left less than a mile.
hope that helps, and have a great trip!

For our trip in July, my nephew and I are also arriving around 12:30ish. After a grocery stop, check-in and getting settled in the room, we're going to scurry over for the 5pm Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at FW. We have PHP's, so we don't want to waste a day on our passes by going to the park, but we wanted something fun to do. We probably will just go back to the hotel afterwards and chill out. We are doing the Steam Train Tour at 7:15am the next morning.

Thank you so much for the directions Kristins Mommy! :wave2:

The one time I stayed at VWL was my only trip (so far) without a theme park visit.

I would use check in day to unwind. There is so much you can do. Exploring the hotel would be number one on my list. Maybe use the pool, watch the geyser, listen to the story, ride the ferry boats (it'll be a little late to rent a boat), wander around the Magic Kingdom resorts by monorail.

Traditionally, when traveling with others, we go to the Rainforest Cafe. Personally I'd like to break this tradition...there are so many interesting restaurants at DTD. Actually with the new ferry service between OKW and PO/FQ I'd probably go to DTD and catch the boat to check out PO and the facilities there.

We're going to start this trip with a late-afternoon start at EPCOT; thought we could squeeze in a couple countries to make out other EPCOT days less crowded. We'll arrive at our resort by 12:30 or so, check in, get settled, then off to EPCOT. Dinner will be at the Garden Grill, and, if I'm lucky, the rehitching ceremony--DH will get a kick out of it, and I think it's sweet!
