We arrive Saturday 3-3-12 at MCO airport at 6:50. I know it will take until probably 8 to get to the hotel and check in. With the 1 hour time change I am thinking we will want to go and do something versus sitting in the room and going to bed early. We like to cram as much into each day as we can.

What should we do?? There are 3 of us, which includes my 8 year old son. We won't have park tickets until the next day. We have never taken a ride on the montarail. Would that be a good option or will we get stuck with massive amounts of people trying to get back to their hotel? How long does it take to go all the way around?

Any other tips on things we could do? Getting excited!!!!!!!:banana:

You could ride the monorail, check out and/or have dinner at a different hotel that you want to see (Animal Kingdom Lodge would be a good one, then you can see the animals...or the Poly and then sit on the beach and watch Wishes), or go to Downtown Disney.

You didn't say where you were staying, or whether you had a car.
However,we found riding the monorail fun, and I'd say a full ride was about 30 or so minutes. Can't remember. You can get off at any of the 3 hotels and check out the scenery. You may want to see when the nighttime boat show goes by the hotels. We went to the Poly one night and watched from the beach. It's free.
Also, can just go to DTD and walk around, find a snack and see the Lego shop and WOD. Parking is free. Busing to/from there may be not be the best option.

I would also see what events are going around at your hotel too. Some have a free movie or other things for the kids.

We are staying at Pop Century and do not have a car. We will rely on Disney busses for our transportation.

I think it may take lnger than you think to get luggage, get to the hotel, wait in the check in line, check in and get in your room and unpack. if you are planning to be at the park early the next morning, you might consider exploring your own hotel and making it an early evening. Even thought it is an hour earlier where you are coming from, it will be an hour earlier in the morning, so will be harder to get up if you stay up late!

my suggestion if you do have lots of extra time would be the boardwalk, buy not sure how to get there easily without a car...then you could see the fireworks from Epcot...
