Arrival day for an Ultimate Ticket

I've purchased an Ultimate ticket on the Disney Website and I entered the day of arrival: 7th September (5 days to go! )
I received a Will Call ticket that I'll exchange at the park or at the hotel (and I cannot link it to MDE so no FP+ reservations yet ). On the Will Call ticket there is written the arrival day.
My question for the knowledgeable Disers is: do the 14 days of my ticket start the 7th or after I use the ticket for the first time, like the MYW tickets?

I'll stay 14 nights/15 days and I have to choose if using the ticket the first or the last day, but if I have not an option I would plan around the 7th being the first day.

Tickets are not activated until you enter a park.

Every year we use 14 days or 21 day tickets we get 15 & 22 days use out of them, the system allows the extra day(although they will deny if you ask) I was going to check and confirm they had not changed this last month but I forgot til I got home.

I would expand on this by saying you can use 14 or 21 days over the 15 or 22 day period.
