Arrival at HoJo mid-day and other HoJo questions

My parents and I should arrive in Anaheim around noon the Friday before the Half Marathon. Can the HoJo store your bags while we go on to the race expo? I know Disney hotels will usually do this without a problem, but wasn't sure if the HoJo will do that.
Also, does anyone know if the HoJo has a safe in the room? If so, how big is it?

The HoJo does have a luggage room in Bldg. 1 where they will safely store your luggage if your room isn't ready when you check-in.

I believe all the premium and deluxe rooms now have safes. They are large enough to fit a laptop and maybe a couple other small items.

Yes, they have a luggage lockup for early arrivals, but make sure you ask if your room will be ready sooner, it has happened to me there before where my room was ready a few hours early.

Some of the rooms have safes, I think the only ones that didn't was maybe the king rooms, but I think there was talk of them being put in, not sure. I would go to the website and check out the message boards, everything is listed on the boards. http://www.hojoanaheim.com/

Thanks so much! I was really worried we wouldn't have a way to store our luggage. I booked a Disney View room. I have no idea what building that is. I hope it will have 2 full sized beds though.

The premium rooms definetely have safes. They are between the beds unnder the phone.

A Disney View room is a premium room in Bldg. 1. You will have 2 queen sized beds (the new heavenly type mattresses), a fridge, microwave and an in-room safe!

All of the rooms/buildings have the new pillowtop mattresses, we were there in mid-June and they were changing out the last one for building 1 that day, it was ours! The standard rooms that we have stayed in that are in building 1 also have the safes.

The HoJo is the most amazing deal, I don't think I will stay anywhere else unless they are booked solid!

Thanks everyone again!! It is going to be an amazing trip. 3 nights at the HoJo (running in the 1/2 Marathon), then 5 nights at the Grand California (2 days at the D23 Expo). I will try doing my very first trip report when I get back. (Not sure how you post pictures)

No, not true, we stay in the Pavilion Buildings and they do not have the upgraded mattresses. We were there in July.

They just announced on Facebook that all of building 2 is now complete with the new mattresses, so I asked how many more they have to do. I know I have a park view room, so want to try and figure out if I have a new mattress to look forward to.

Disney view rooms are in bldg 1, I thought bldg 1 rooms all had upgraded mattresses, but I could be wrong.....

Yes, I asked on facebook, and they said that building 1 is completed now, they just have the pavillion buildings to finish!

That's great!! We love the Pavilion bldgs, we stay there every chance we get! LOL
