Sorry if this has already been answered in another post, but I couldn’t find it anywhere.

My wife and I have a trip booked to be at WDW on the 50th, park passes and resort and everything booked, but have worries about getting a positive test to come home and having to quarantine for 2 weeks on Florida. If we were to trim our trip to less than 72 hours (this would suck, we know..) would we be able to use the same test for our arrival flight as well as our departure flight? I understand that the test has to be done up to 72 hours before the flight. Has anyone else done this or know if it would work?

any help/thoughts are appreciated

While I haven't done it myself, once they announced all the updated measures for fully vax'd ppl, they actually did mention this and added it to the website. Prior to the adjustments, I had actually called the PHAC info line (waited on hold mush like calling Disney) and the agent I spoke verified that you could indeed use a test that you received up here as long as it met the 72hr requirement. Believe the US has always had it posted on their CDC website that for short trips they allow it as well so hence my call to PHAC. I was looking to do a quick DL trip but of course WJ changed the flight I was looking at and I changed to using United in late October and tacked on an extra day. But it's something (once we get our Magic Keys) that I will be looking at doing -- even if I can't make the timing work to use it for both the US requirement and the Cdn return requirement, we have a decent testing company at YYC that I would just get it done prior to going through security/customs and have it in my email by the time we land in SNA.

Nope! I live way too far away for a 72 hr trip! We got back from 2 weeks in WDW a couple of weeks ago. Honestly the thought did cross my mind. We just took what precautions we could. Wore masks in ride queues, on rides, inside. Didn’t go into stores much. Ate on outside patios when possible. Kept our distance in queues. Most people were mindful of distancing, may not have been 6’ but it was enough. Only once I had to ask someone to give me some space.

I felt ok about being there. But if you’re really uncomfortable maybe postpone trip for awhile.
