Arrg! Why can't I ever get BWV!

Guess I'm going to have to cave and buy another contract because I can never get a 2br at bwv. Sorry don't intend to rant but no matter the time of year I go it's gone. The 2br standard view at bwv is my great white whale. Oh well first time at OKW!

if you are set on standard view, then yes you will need home booking advantage.

Normally not set on standard view just this particular time because we want to stay 7 nights and I don't have the points for BW or GV. It's the 2BR I think I need to get r id of Grandma and move down to a 1BR.

Standard view is only about 18% of the resort. Since 2 bedrooms are all lockoffs, that means both a 1 bedroom and studio has to be available.

Were you calling at 7 months for September? I would have thought September would be a good chance.

Are you trying to book a very popular time of the year like food and wine? Because otherwise, I've never had trouble getting BWV, standard 2br. I alternate every year between OKW (home resort) and BWV (My son's favorite) and I've always been succesful booking at the 7 month mark for the 1 or 2nd week of June or 1st week of August. I've done it for the last 6 years.

I usually request 2nd floor, building to the left of the entrance, with a wonderful view of the trees, and that wide expansive lawn! Gotten it twice and last time got 1st floor which was fine too!

I was looking for the last week of June thru July 5th. I tried at the 7 month window but couldn't get it. I was hoping to get it this year because my sister in law was staying at Boardwalk Inn. Not the end of the world we are looking forward to OKW and Olivia's for the first time. Just a bit of a bus ride to meet up at the pool.

Odd. I got a 1BR BWV SV for the week of the 4th right at the 7mo window.
BLT standard was not available for the nights of the 3rd and 4th, but BWV standard was available.

This will be my 2nd stay in the 1BR so it might just be a 2BR issue?

definitely waitlist, and do they allow pool hopping during the holiday? 4th of july?? you may want to double check that!

I had no idea the standard view at BWV was so hard to get. It's a lesson learned for me. Just yesterday I booked a 2 bedroom at BWV in September but with Boardwalk View ... no problem...but then I had lots of left over points from 2011..thank goodness. BWV is so worth a wait list! Did you try BCV? As long as you are not roomed on Epcot International Blvd (I think that's the name) ... it's still a wonderful resort.

Haven't stayed at BCV yet. Can't try it for this trip unfortunately because of the length of the stay. 10 days in a 2br can really hurt the ol' points account. Standard was all I had enough for this time. I was able to get BW view on a partial stay but them my wife wanted to stay an extra night so I had to cancel out hopefully fulfilling someone else's waitlist dreams.

I guess I have been lucky. We used DVC for a 2 bedroom two years ago in July and just, at our 7 month mark, we just booked 8 nights for Aug/September for a 2 bedroom BW View.

i've been trying to book any week from july thru end of august in a BWV 2bdrm SV, every few days since about 7 months (DSIL didn't get back to me in time for us to be within the 7-11 month window).
nothing...nada...
i'm still going in april and sept/aug (booked at 11 months BW view, and still had to waitlist a few days that came thru), so it would've been just a bonus trip for me. i feel bad for my nephew tho, who wanted to spend his birthday there (hopefully, DSIL finally understands that i was not exaggerating when i repeated that she need to book early to get 2bdrm at BWVs - even PV is gone).
i waitlisted, but hold little hope (btw, i didn't try BCV, as they don't want to stay there again).
mid sept had more open of course - something you might want to consider if your kidlets are young

Are you saying that there are no more 2 bedrooms left for any view?
YIKES. There was plenty when I booked at 9 am at 7 months on January 26.
