I caught part of McCain's speech last night. I forget which state he was in. But Arnold Schwarzenegger was on stage with him. The commentator was saying how impressed he was with Schwarzenegger's introductory speech!

Apparently, Schwarzenneger talked about how he left his birth place of Austria due to it being socialist. In essence, he came to the USA for it's freedom and to become as successful as he is. He definitely does NOT support Obama and his way of thinking. Wooo hooo!!!

They also discussed how Schwarzenneger would have been a fantastic choice for VP with McCain. But due to his not being a US born citizen...he could never become president.

Thanks, Arnold!

:confused3 Was that a surprise? He is a republican after all.

It took place in Columbus, Ohio! I really wanted to make it to that rally, but it was at 5:00 last night. There was no way that I was going to be able to convince my kids to go to political rally instead of trick-or-treating. :lmao:

I'm so bummed that I missed it!

java...In some cases, there are people that might not know that. And yes, the link is an old story. :lmao: But amazingly, searching on the DIS to see if there was previously a thread on this, it came up with nothing.

mom...LOL! I guess your kids would win that argument. :lmao: It would have been a blast to be there though! :thumbsup2

WOW a Republican backs a Republican for president!!!! Who woulda thought?

I'm shocked, shocked that a Republican Governor is supporting and speaking with a Republican Presidential Candidate.

I wonder who Arnold's wife is supporting?

I saw him on some show talking about supporting McCain while his wife supports Obama. He joked about having to sleep in the garage at times. :)

I can't imagine being a part of that marriage. He's a Republican governor and she is Democrat "royalty". I just can't imagine. During an election such as this, I think I would kill my husband in his sleep if he was voting Obama. :lmao:

My husband voted for McCain while I voted for Obama. We just don't discuss politics especially nowadays. ;)

DH and I do alright voting differently, but we also aren't psychotic.

I can see the headlines now. "McCain supporter advocates killing spouses that vote for Obama." :lmao:

Arnold's here all the time. He has friends in Columbus because this is where he does his fitness competition. He came here to speak for Bush both elections too. It's just NOT a big deal to have the Governinator here in our city. All the moneyed Republicans call him for any promotion they've got and he's here. I've seen him out to dinner, at film openings and on the street. What WAS a big deal was having Hank Williams Jr. on the bill. lol! What a group. It was mostly folks from surrounding counties in the Nationwide arena last night. Franklin County is blue, blue, blue. The only country music group we support here is the Dixie Chicks. :)

Is this recent? I thought he backed McCain a while ago. Perhaps I just assumed he had backed McCain...he is a Republican. It would seem a no-brainer, for the most part.

Thankfully I'm not either. Of course it never would have gotten that far because I never would have married a liberal in the first place. I do have standards. ;)
