Actually managed to have a bit of a lie in this morning – I didn’t wake until 7:15am.

On my plan we were meant to get to AK for early entry today – but by the time I had filled the mugs and everyone was up washed and dressed we didn’t get to AK until 9:15am.

We headed straight over to Asia, got a FP for Kali River Rapids then headed to do It’s Tough to be a Bug – I love that show. We had a nice stroll through the Maharajas Trial and then headed to see Tarzan Rocks – we had missed this show last trip because Disney had reduced the number of shows. It’s a good show – I had to wear my sunglasses though to cut down the glare from the male singer’s teeth!

Everyone’s tummies were rumbling, so we set of for lunch at Restaurantasaurus. It should have opened at 11:30am, but it they seemed to be a bit slow clearing away the character breakfast things, so it was about 11:45 before we got in. Service was quick and we were soon sitting down with our burgers and fries.

After lunch it was back to Asia and the Kali River to use our FPs. Just my luck, out of everyone on the boat I was the one who got soaked!

Coming off the ride the sky was turning a very funny colour and there was the odd rumble of thunder, so we decided it was probable a good time to head back to base.
We got a drink at the food court at POR and had a bit of a rest and watched the rain from our room. The rain didn’t last long and as it stopped we headed over to Epcot at about 4:30pm – we had a PS for Le Cellier at 6pm.
We arrived at Le Cellier at 5:45pm and were given a little flashing, vibrating beeper thingy so we would know when our table was ready. We sat and watched Off-Kilter and about 6pm the flashing, vibrating beeper thingy started flashing, vibrating and beeping – so I guessed our table was ready for us.
Julie had the Cheddar Soup and I had the Beef and Barley Broth to start. For main course (sorry ‘entrée’), the girls had the childs steak with fries, I had the 14oz New York Strip Steak with Yukon Roast Potatoes with Red Wine Sauce, and Julie had the 7oz Fillet Mignon with Cream Cheese Mashed Potato. We both agreed that both steaks were very nice, but the portions of potatoes were a bit small. I had about 3 very small roast potatoes and I had to send out a search party for the red wine sauce! Although the surroundings and service were good and the steaks very tasty, I don’t think it was very good value for money. Don’t think we would go there again.
After dinner we headed over to Test Track to check the line size and it was 50mins, so we decided to try Mission Space again, as the line was only 20mins. Even being full of steak dinners we didn’t have any ill effects from the ride.
It was approaching Illuminations time, so we headed off to get a good spot. We found one just near the Outpost. I ran off to get strawberry slushes for everyone and we sat and watched Illuminations for the 3rd time this trip. When it was over we sat and watched everyone rushing to get out. After about ½ an hour we had a slow walk to the exit. Even though we had waited for a while there was still quite a crowd waiting for the POR bus. We managed to get seats on the 3rd bus that came.

Part 9 next – Epcot again!

:D Yes, Illuminations always gets the hairs on the back of my neck up.

The dinner at Le Cellier sounded scrummy; shame it didn't live up to it:(
