Armed Forces Salute Tickets--military member with different ticket?

I'm sure this has been asked before but my search isn't finding the answer!

If a military family is going to Disney and want to use the AFS tickets BUT the military member is using a FL resident ticket or annual pass, can the military person still get AFS tickets? They don't need six (just three).

Yes, he can buy tickets for others and use them and not have the same ticket as them, but he does need to be present for them to use them.

Yes ~ he is able to purchase a total of 6 per promotion period, so purchasing 3 for family (or friends) will not be a problem. He will need to be there to activate them, but after that they can be used by the ticket holders on their own. He will not need to be with them each and every time they enter a park
