Hi all,

this will be our first trip with DD, so haven't ever had to take any notice before! Is it ok to have armbands on DD at the waterparks? We have tried the flotation vests on her before and she didn't like them, but I notice from reading TR's that most of the littlies have them on!

This is all asuming of course that it will be warm enough to go to BB in December!!

Thanks for any help

Claire :)

My youngest always wore arm bands as she didn't like the vest type either. We never had any problems using them at the water parks

The resort pools and water parks supply the life vests but i've never seen a ban on arm bands. Not sure if they would be required to have a vest aswell. I think armbands are seen as less safe than a vest.

How old is your DD?

When mine was small she had a sort of uv suit that had buyouncy inserts in that worked well.

think arm bands ok, rings a no no though

Thanks for the replies :goodvibes

My DD will be 4 on the holiday. As I said it may not even be an issue as we are there in December!

Arm bands should be ok then, thats great.

Thankyou for your help

Claire :)

At the water parks I would try the vests as they keep them a bit more buoyant - DD uses them at the resort pools when on the slides. They are not that bulky and she finds them fine.

She is 4 now and swims without armbands in her lessons at home however I wouldn't let her on slides without the jacket.

Thanks for your reply. We may ask DD if she wants to try them out, especially if she wants to go on any of the bigger rides / slides (she is quite a dare devil in the water!)
